    Default Rdskn4lyf21's HOF Induction PICS

    Hey guys,

I just wanted to share some pics for all of those at home to see what we experienced last night. I was on the floor for the induction and was brought to tears by the support of Redskins nation.

There are no words to describe what we witnessed. Newspaper reports here say there were around 16,500 folks there last night. A Wilbon article said there was over 15,000 Skins fans. Do the math

So....here's some pics of yesterday and a few with me, the Chief, Gary Clark, and Doc Walker.

    Enjoy and HTTR:

Nicely done. Thanks for sharing. Looks like they brought in the Apache for Mike Irvin's defense.

Also, this article helped to well up some more tears : http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn...39.html?sub=AR

    Some quotes:

"Few teams in professional sports get to have as grand a day as the Washington Redskins had here Saturday. Any team's fans can buy out a stadium for a big playoff game or be indulged in a civic championship parade. But how many times can a team's fans, more than 15,000 of them, monopolize a sport's Hall of Fame? Not since the old Bulldogs left Canton has the birthplace of professional football so tilted toward one team."

"Folks who've been coming here for these inductions for 25, 30 years swear no team has produced anything close to the Redskins' Hall of Fame turnout, not to mention their fervor. Their ovations, particularly the four-minute outpouring that greeted Monk, were as heartfelt as any Sunday afternoon praise during their career."

"The mayor of Canton took one look at the crowd, painted in burgundy and gold, and proclaimed it "Redskins Day." Every seat on every flight Saturday from National, BWI and Dulles airports to nearby Cleveland was occupied. Thousands more drove the 350 miles. Every one of them seemed to be wearing a Redskins jersey, most bearing either Green's No. 28 or Monk's No. 81. No single Redskin could have caused this stampede; only a pair as already beloved as Green and Monk could pack the house on the road like this. "

Wow. I'm at a loss for words.

I called my Mom, who lives in Frederick MD after Monk was inducted.

I couldn't even talk, I was holding back tears.

She said: "Let me guess. Your drunk, wearing your Monk jersey, and crying. Am I right?"

All I could blubber was a "yes."

Such a unique experience, I'm very upset I couldn't afford the trip.

    God bless Monk and Green.

    Hail.

How could I forget! Two fun little things went on at the NFL Total Access stage:

When Elway came on, there was a Skins fan that started chanting "42-10" as loud as he could. Dude, if you are on ES and you read this,

The other was long chants of "Go Home Irvin!". After a bit, he wrote down "281" on a paper and held it up and said we are here for them. That didn't stop the chanting, but it was nice to see
