Burger King introduces the bacon sundae.

NEW YORK -- Burger King wants to lure customers this summer with a barbecue party - and a bacon sundae.

The world's second biggest hamburger chain on Thursday is launching several pork, beef and chicken sandwiches as limited time offers. And for a sweet ending, the company is also offering a bacon sundae - vanilla soft serve with fudge, caramel, bacon crumbles and a piece of bacon - that started in Nashville, Tenn. earlier this year.

I may well go to hell for saying this, but I don't want bacon in my ice cream. It may be the ONLY place I don't want it, but I don't.

    Denny's did it earlier.

Laissez-faire. If you want it, get it. If you don't want it, stay away. This is how we should address foods like this. I'm aware there is an obesity problem, but people have to learn how to say no, instead of filling themselves with substances like these every day for 50 years. That's how you become fat!

Double Bacon Corn Dog tops list of new Iowa State Fair foods

There’s a rumor going around that the Iowa State Fair has vegetables. And music and hot tubs and any number of edifying activities like spin art and seed-spitting.

All that could well be true, but when all your senses are immediately assailed by Eau de Fair, and you’ve already got your Rolaids unwrapped, you can be forgiven for missing the spelling bee at the one-room schoolhouse.

What to eat first is the real question for the ages (or at least 11 days in August, from the 9th to 19th). That deep-fried butter thing is sooo last year. But take heart (and heart medication): The Campbell’s Concessions’ Double Bacon Corn Dog will make its debut this year.

It’s a pretty straightforward recipe: Wrap a hot dog in bacon, deep-fry it, dip it in “bacon-bit-enriched” batter and give it another hot grease bath. The technique is a little more complicated, though, and Eric Campbell, fry master extraordinaire, said these dogs are labor intensive and the method is proprietary.

Bacon-flavored coffee to be sold across North America at Seattle's Best Coffee shops - NY Daily News

A bacon-flavored coffee called "How to Win a Guy With One Sip" has won a $10,000 jackpot and the bragging rights to being recreated and sold at a popular coffee chain across the US.

Des Moines, Iowa resident Eileen Gannon beat out five other competitors with her pumpkin pie-spiced, bacon-flavored coffee at a contest held in New York last week, where her creation was lauded as the most "imaginative drink in America."

The bacon-flavored coffee will be featured at participating Seattle's Best Coffee locations across North America, which hosted the Red Cup Showdown. The Seattle's Best brand is owned by Starbucks.

Gannon, a financial adviser in Des Moines, meanwhile, is no stranger to the food contest circuit, according to local paper the Des Moines Register, which pointed out that she's a frequent blue ribbon winner at state fair contests.

Will we be buying bacon and pork sausages next year?

There could soon be a global pork shortage, and a sharp rise in prices, the National Pig Association warns. But will British consumers be willing to pay more to save their bacon and sausages?

I made bacon-wrapped turkey filets the other night. They were terrific.

Also I've had that bacon sundae @ BK. It's actually pretty good. It's regular sundae with just some crumbled bacon sprinkled on it. The salty/sweet contrast is quite tasty.

For a limited-time, KFC Japan is offering an homage to the chain's southern roots and the brand's founder with the Colonel's Bacon Potato Fritters.

The mashed potatoes are mixed with bits of bacon, herbs, and sour cream before being battered and fried.
