    Default Cowboy/Redskins week

Wow...it is awfully quiet for being Cowboys week, here in the ATN. I will be the first Cowboy fan to admit this...I am very nervous about this game, and a win is not something that I feel is automatic in this game........matter of fact, I do believe the Skins are playing good ball right now.

I was expecting alot more chatter, some Dallas articles, and some serious smack talk. Well, i guess its just not the same as it once was...we all grow up in time i guess. Then again I am sure its going to be hectic here in the ATN next week depending on the results.

Man, this is a sad state of affairs...let's get this started. Remember when Troy Vincent blocked the Cowboys FG attempt, Sean Taylor recovered and ran it back into field goal range and we kicked the winning FG and won? Man, that was awesome.

I think it's more that no one wants to look dumb in less than a week. I don't think anyone is too mature to talk **** about the game!

To be honest, I'm scared of this game. I think the Skins have a shot if things break their way, but Dallas should win if all things are equal.
"Washington strolled to the NFC championship, outscoring their two playoff opponents by a combined total of 48 points. Their domination was more than impressive, it was historic. The 1991 Redskins boasted the largest average margin of victory among all Super Bowl champions."

I was there in the stadium and hated each and every second of that! I hated TO's drop, which I called pre-snap. I was looking like a genius to all that were sitting with me, then Whooooomp, he dropped it....then leaving the stadium that day was not too fun. LOL

How about 2004 (I was tat Fedex for that game) when Richie Anderson threw the pass to Terry Glenn to score, and the game ended with Roy tackling Rod Gardner as time expired, then later to pull off the sweep, P.Crayton caught a 48 yarder from 88 year old Vinny to win it!!!!

It's even quit on the streets here in DC. You do not hear a lot of talk I do not even see a lot of Cowboy or Skin fans wearing their teams gear. I may get some ocassional back handed remarks for these clowns in my office but other than that it has been quiet.

the Skins fans i talk to are just saying that they think that Dallas should win by 2-3 TD's, but they will be better prepared for them next meeting at Fedex.......and that annoys the poop outta me..........the ole "we have a new coach" "we are still improving" .........

just tell me you think Dallas is over rated and that the Skins are going to kick their Ass. No one was afraid to say that from the playoff loss till now, and all the sudden its all gone!

I think we are a better team than the one that went into Dallas last year and almost stole a victory. Its going to be a very close game, that will be decided in the final 2-3 minutes.

Who fumbled to set that who sequence up? Was it Ladel Betts? What about the game in Texas where our punter got his nose absolutely smashed?

Yeah, we're all pretty cautiously optimistic, I think (Skins fans, that is)...but not a whole lot of us are eager to put it all on the line and start talking smack about the game. I should do it just to get things moving around here lol...

Ok, here goes: Skins win this game by double digits...Dallas has only gone over 20 points twice in the last six games against the Skins, have been held to under 10 points twice, and have scored between 10-20 points twice...so there's no pattern of them constantly bringing their best game. On the otherhand, the Skins have scored more than 20 points 4 times in the last six games against Dallas, so we at least have that going for us lol. Romo's making too many mistakes and it's gonna bite them in the ass sooner or later (I pick sooner lol). Their defense looks exploitable and Jason Campbell has really upped his play and execution over last season...and even then, JC almost beat the Cowboys in Dallas last year.

    Skins 30, Cowboys 17.

I remember that game. The phantom pass-interference on Harris combined with the no-call on the deep pass to Rod Gardner were a 14-point swing. Then on the play where Rod Gardner was hit by Williams, he was defenseless, and Williams came in and creamed him helmet-to-helmet. Should have been unecessary roughness, 15 yard penalty (they'd call it that way these days, anyway). That game made me SO ****ING MAD.

Defenseless??? You got the wrong game or your mixed up....On the play that ended the game Rod Gardner caught the ball and was near the sideline, Roy hit him and tackled him before he got out-of-bounds...there was nothing wrong with the hit at all. How can a man that caught the ball and is in bounds be "defenseless".......the thing about the play was that he stayed in bounds because of the hit, had he been out-of-bounds, the clock would have stopped and the skins would have had a 49-50 yard FG to tie it.

Dallas starting CB Pete Hunter tore his ACL 4 minutes into that game. Pete was never the same after that. i thought he would be a solid player too......

Well man I'm a little embarassed to be a Skins fan when I hear stuff like this coming from fans. Yes, The Cowboys should win this game but I do believe it's going to be far closer game than some may think.

I believe the Skins are a better team than they were last year . You remember last year down there they took you guys to the limit. I do expect the same thing actually I have the game played out pretty much like last year down there .
