That play took some guts to call no doubt.

You can tell Zorn really wants to win and has faith in his players etc.

The line did a great job on this play.

It doesnt get any better than that, running up the gut with your stud back, in the NFC Beast, in hostile territory against a very respected d coordinator, to seal a huge victory, on 4th down late in the game.

If we did that last year, it would have been from under center, with no fakes, and it would have been much easier to defend. Instead our stud coach calls the shotgun formation, adding a small bit of doubt of if we run / pass.

His aggressive play calls from previous weeks pay dividends in more than just that one game folks; Jim Johnson was probably doubling Moss deep on that play.

Even though we ran for 200 on them. BAH HA HA HA. Jim Zorn and Portis make a great team.

Although I feel Riggo is the best back to wear the B&G, Portis is simply amazing. The guy can do it all, and is an excellent teammate. CP is $$$$

Portis is one of the best RB in the league now. his blocking is really good too, I know he likes to put people on their butt too. first game against giants, not much in that game but he had that one block he laid on someone, cant remember who but it felt so great...

When its all said and done Clinton will be in the same breath as all Redskins greats. It's incredible that we have such an awesome back. It's also incredible we're 4-1. HTTR!

As stated earlier, I am glad Zorn played to win the game.

I love it that Portis is getting some well deserved props, he is fun to watch and plays with a lot of heart.

Also great T he wears under his jersey.

Not to debate who was a better running back, I will just say that both are equally important to their teams.
Riggo had the hogs blocking for him and Portis has ....................................

Portis is an animal and a team player. His willingness to block and take himself out when he needs a breather for the good of the team is evidence of this.

When it's all said and done, I think he will be the best RB in Skins history. But first he needs some stellar playoff performances...Riggins in '83 was just insane. And Riggins has the ring, too.

But Portis will have the better numbers at the end, IMO.

We're very fortunate to have him. I can't believe there are people on this board and in this area that hate on him.

Riggo IS a Hall of Famer. Doesn't mean Portis is not the better running back.
Or doesn't mean that Portis won't make it in one day either. He'll hit 10,000 yards pretty soon and I think he is only 27. And to hear him tell it, he's got another 10 seasons or so left in the tank.

I was too young to watch Riggo play. But...I do know Riggo was great for his time. Portis is great for his time. Two different RBs.

Can we at least put him as #2 RB in Skins history for now. If and when he wins a superbowl we can move him to #1. Cuz this guy is a true football player, not just an RB.

Chris Samuels is the best player on this team, and Pete Kendall is no slouch. You saw how well they did today when Portis ran left. Haven't seen much of Randy Thomas this year but I remember a time when he was an elite guard too.

Sure this offensive line isn't close to the hogs but they are pretty good. Just need a little youth infusion, maybe a good young center? There are a couple of stud centers who will probably come up in this years draft. I'll go ahead and start an early bandwagon for Alabama's Andre Caldwell or whatever his name is. He looks like a hoss and I hope we can get him somehow.

What a clutch free agency signing he was. Just wish we had been able to grab him earlier in his career and enjoy him for longer.
