1.Yes landry was post to help up top. But if you watch the play rogers got juked out so bad plaxico lost him for a good 10-15 yards or so. There was no way landry could stop him on that pass. He did come in a pushed him out of bounds coming from the middle. Remember plaxico juked him out then even stopped to get a pass. Landry is responsible for the deep passes not what WR's catch underneath then plax proceeded to run some more.

2.If i remmember correctly blatche mentioned that play by fitz a blown coverage. Reed was supposed to have him deep awile landry took the inside route. That is why landry was manning up on fitz on the 4th qtr.

3.There was 3 other redskins players there before landry got there. Landry was lined up in the left TO scored the TD on the right. The MLB should have picked him up on the zone. You dont have your safety move zones in the redzone.

So... When Carlos Rogers is underneath and Laron Landry is supposed to be up top... It's Rogers' fault.

When Laron Landry is underneath and Reed Doughty is supposed to be up top... It's Doughty's fault.

When TO has the ball and is racing for the endzone after running a crossing route... Landry is not allowed to move his zone due to, I guess, the risk of some sort of lateral play.

I think Landry will turn out to be a great player, but he's not there yet and I think people are talking him up too much right now.

With the eagles only scoring 1 offensive TD, I'd say Laron had one hell of a good day.

Landry has been relatively quiet all season.

Thats because offenses are not challening us deep with him back there. The Eagles did not throw a pass more than 15 yards past the line of scimmage yesterday.

Even when teams do take shot its a sideline pass away from No.30.

I thin kit would be great if we had the luxury of another stud FS so that Landry could get his nose dirty closer to the line of scrimmage but right now he is part of a very very effective defense playing deep centre field taking away the deep pass.

You don't hear Landry called by name. You hear about Landry when reporters talk about how surprised they were that Philly and Dallas never tried to open it up and throw deep.

He's playing like a 7 year veteran...I can't believe he's only in his second year, it's crazy.

What is crazy is he went #6 in the draft. Amazing talent and discipline.

i think everyone is a huge sean homer. No one can honestly say that sean was better in coverage than laron in his second season. laron has been immense.

difference between Sean and Landry is that Sean got INT's, Landry doesn't.. There is no way that offenses are more worried about Landry then they were Sean..impossible

I agree, if I was going to pick a weakness with this team so far it would be pass rush. Hopefully JT will remedy that.

Yes, we haven't been able to consistently apply pressure on the QB. We have forced a few turnovers but it's scary how good this unit COULD be if only we can put a bit more pressure on the QB. We're barely bending and not breaking at all. If JT can produce even a few extra QB pressures and sacks we could see this D-fence start to look more like Blache's Bears D.

As for Landry, we haven't heard his name much for good reason. He isn't being tested but I'm guessing in the next few weeks his name will be mentioned a lot more. Credit should also be given to the CBs who have played exceptionally well thus far.

Looks to me like Landry slowed up 'cause he didn't want to go through Springs to get to TO. That's just my impression.

I thought on the Fitzgerald td that Landry had the other side of the field? I'm pretty sure it was blamed on Doughty anyway.
