Redskins NFL Live: Redskins definite over achievers?

First Michael Smith saying that McNabb wasn't insulting the Skins, because they are a super bowl caliber team and are are under achieving

then Wingo says "the Redskins are definite over achievers"

wait, the Eagles went 8-8, and have lost 3 including the Pokes who we beat... other than the Media "saying" they should be a SB team... what have they done to assume they are a better team, and under achieving?

The Skins went to the Playoffs last year, returned 21 starters, the OL healthy, Rogers & McIntosh healthy... 4-1 beat the Pokes 2 in a row..and beat Philly and Dallas on the road... but they are Over Achiever because "experts" guessed they would be a bad team, despite nothing to give any reason they would be worse this season

all their perception is based solely on their own preseason guessing,... the Media arrogance of over valuing the importance of their own opinions always amazes me

Ye, this is ridiculous, all that matters is the record right now which is pretty good at 4-1!!

    Thanks PG!

And it all goes back to the genius preseason predictions. Remember, because these guys make their predictions, anything that happens that does not go according to their thinking is BAFFLING and SHOCKING and OVERACHIEVING. How about we just call it what it is, GOOD FOOTBALL. Very rarely do you hear an "I was completely wrong about this team" or a "They really proved us wrong". Instead its gotta be this BS they love to come up with to satisfy their egos.

One day they hate us, the next day they love us.

I'm just as confused as you are bubba.

I like the lunch pail mentality that this team has, I hope we keep over achieving all the way into January.

Media is so bi-polar when it comes to us. It's like dealing with a mother-in-law who is on her meds one day and off them the next.

How many people on here predicted a 4-1 start for the Redskins? How many thought we'd come out of Philly and Dallas with wins? I'm talking honest, rational predictions, not your heart's desire. Not to mention our head coach has never even been a coordinator before.

This team has definitely overachieved. Nobody's saying that's a bad thing.

Matt Mosely is much better. He and John Clayton at ESPN know more about the division, and I think they have a better handle on what's actually going on for this team.

Mosely is pretty vocal in his favor of Campbell, Cooley, Horton, and Zorn.

I don't understand what side you are on? You are either in the Dallas camp that claims the pukes will dominate the NFC east and win the SB, The gint repeaters, or the Iggles will surprise everyone and win the tough NFC East. There were no other choices anywhere in the media. lol

    Achievers? Yes. Over? We'll see.

    more than you think

21 returning starters, returning players from injury, from a play off team

yes Zorn was an unknown, but the defensive staff, and half the offensive staff remained in tact

common sense tells you that they shouldn't drop off too much even if Zorn was over his head

I can read the headlines in February:

"The WORST Superbowl Chapions in History"

    The 2008 over-achieving Washington Redskins!
