Season 3 was a joke, Season 4 was awesome and a must watch.

    Go on now.

Man that sucked. Literally made me mad.

    Probably my favorite character.

I dont mind that they killed him off, but I thought it was such a cliche and overused way to do it. How many times in TV/film have we seen a character jump in at the last second to take a bullet or some type of mortal wound to sacrifice their life for the main character? Surely they could have thought of something a little more original...

Yeah but that was sort of his FU to Jax as well as saving him. He hasn't been very happy with Jax or his decisions in a long long time. Even in solitary he told Jax he made the wrong decision by choosing to save the club over killing Clay. Because of Clay and Jax actions Opie has had to endure the worst of anyone on the show and he has not been able to have any recourse or vengeance.

This way he gets to save Jax while knowingly giving him the fuel of watching his best friend die to hopefully trigger him to saving himself and doing what is needed to kill Clay. Also he gives Jax quite the guilt trip. I just dont think he cared anymore. He hasn't really been alive in a while and said last week he didn't know if he ever really loved anything.

But geez that scene was brutal. I hated it. Opie was my favorite character and Hurst has been great playing him from day 1.

Man, this season isn't pulling any punches. I really didn't see that death coming. I was hoping that there was going to be a last minute interruption to prevent that event from happening. This season is pretty brutal and it's just the beginning.

Yeah, the way Opie went out was just....brutal.

After having finishing the episode and processing it a bit it makes more sense, but in that moment it was such a tragic scene. It's going to fundamentally change who Jax is as a president and a person. He's been wishy-washy trying to keep all the plates spinning, but now he's going to start breaking the ones that he doesn't deem important and try even harder to save the ones he does.

I sat there in disbelief about Opie. I know it makes for good show but he was my favorite Son and I wanted to see him and Jax together take out Clay.

This first three episodes have been unreal! By far best show on TV

I can't wait to see what the Sons do to that cop who helped set up that event.

not sure if folks know this yet, but johnny lewis (halfsack) died last night. the sad irony of it happening two days after opie's death is not lost on me. it was a tragic end for an extremely talented guy, who unfortunately had lost his way. i wish i could say that i was shocked by the events last night, but i was not. i am deeply sorry that an innocent life had to be thrown into his destructive path. yes, it's day or mourning, but it's also a day of awareness and gratitude. sadly, some of us carry the message by dying.
