Exclamation Official ExtremeSkins Election Results Thead: Discuss the results here

I haven't seen a thread dedicated to the actual results; so that's why I created one.

In a half hour the first polls will close and we will start getting the results. It should be a fun night. I got 2 tvs on.

One on Fox News and the other one, I'll probably flip thru various coverage though CNN will probably get most of my time on that one.

We should know very early if Mccain has a chance or it will be all Obama.

Well some counties in KY and IN have already closed. Mccain is crushing Obama in those KY counties but Obama has a comfortable lead in those Indiana counties. If Mccain loses Indiana, it will be a long night for him.

I saw some exit polling in battleground states that showed some indicators.

From what I recall it was Ohio, Indiana, and Virginia.

White males broke for McCain 55 to 45, while new voters went to Obama around 65-35.

People who just decided in the last 3 days went for Obama, but not by much.

18-24 age was around 10% of the vote.

I can't really remember much more than that.

I think NC will go to Obama. If so, this will be the first time since Carter ( I believe) that NC has voted for a Democrat for POTUS.

I saw a good mix of young voters and even better- young poll workers.

If that's true, that is VERY bad news for McCain. I think he has to hope -- and I've believed -- that most of the undecideds are traditional conservatives. If they're not, or if they don't break his way anyway, it's going to be a rout.

Ok, just to save everyone a lot of time...

    Obama wins.

    I'm not happy about it.

    Night over.
