LOL!!! ES......IS......AMAAAAAZING!!!!!
Man, there's literally a thread for everything!!!
(Not to get sidetracked but....) I was just telling wifey I was beginning to get tired of Netflix and the streaming service and BOOOOM, there's a thread on what's good (streaming) on Netflix!!
Please, I am in desperate need of you coffee connoisseurs!!
I love coffee. My wife not so much.
I typically like to put a ton of creamer in my coffee to hide the bitter taste. I am looking for a single cup coffee maker that won't break the bank. Was thinking about getting a Keurig but my buddy told me he hated his and that he hated the water system and how the water just sits in it if he poors too much in there (I guess he's unable to empty unless you flip the machine upside down. IDK).
My sis in law has the Keurig and I really liked the Dunkin Donuts decaf with my french vanilla coffee mate.
Really looking for something simple for myself only. Would like to make a quick cup on my way out of the house that doesn't take a bunch of time and effort.
Sincerely,
Desperate Coffee Rookie

Also, would like more info on the whole beans vs grinds.
I usually just buy a big tub of Folgers for 8.99 and am on my way. As I'm learning, I guess I'm completely doing it wrong.
I've always wanted to buy whole beans but don't wanna look like an idiot when I go and ask "Where do I grind these?"
Thanks SOUP for the sig!!
You can get a small French press and make a single big cup as needed. Boil the water in an electric kettle, put the coffee grinds in the French Press and you have a perfect cup in a couple of minutes.
Many supermarkets have a bean grinder in the coffee isle, or you can pick one up for $20-30 that does the job just fine. Or just buy good quality ground coffee. If you use it reasonably frequently and store it right it won't degrade and you can avoid the need to grind the beans.

There are many different Keurigs. Mine has a water tank I can remove, empty, and refill. I don't have to flip it upside down
From what you describe, the Keurig is what you are looking for. If you don't want to pay the price for the k-cups, buy a k-cup filter and the ground coffee of your choice and make individual cups.
I love you guys!!![]()
Thank you very much for the responses.
Thanks SOUP for the sig!!
I was going to say the same thing. If you don't like the bitterness of coffee, a press is the way to go. I got one for Christmas and can't believe how much different coffee tastes that way. It's like a whole different drink. It really doesn't take much if any longer than an auto brewer either.
What you do is get you one of these bad boys:
Coffee on demand anytime you want. Freshly ground. Piping hot. In your cup in seconds. Absolutely delicious.
This is the best invention since sliced bread.
