Ryan has the better intangibles and mechanics. I'd go with him as the long term star over Flacco.

I like Matt Ryan of the two. I don't have a whole lot to base that on, though. Plus Ryan doesn't look like the unfrozen caveman lawyer from SNL.
They're both great; I'd probably take Ryan, though. Flacco clearly has a stronger arm and is more mobile, but Ryan is still serviceable in those fields. Although Flacco can sling it on point 45-50 yards down field, Ryan can accurately get it 35-40. While Flacco can scramble for a first down, Ryan has at least enough mobility to evade tacklers. Flacco is a lot harder to take down, but Ryan still has some pocket presence.
At this point in time, Ryan reads the field better, makes better decisions, and throws more accurately. It's amazing how close they are, though, in every single category. It's a toss up, but I'd take Ryan by a hair.
Both seem like great players right now. The thing that's impressed me about both guys is how comfortable in the pocket they are as rookies. Normally you see young guys with happy feet in the pocket and a tendency to take their eyes off their professions and look at the pass rush. Both of these guys seem to be past that already.
I've been high on Ryan since before he was drafted. He just has that "it" factor. I know it sounds stupid but he's got a special aura about him. He's going to be special, though I'm shocked he's so good so early.
I was way wrong on Flacco though. Not that I hated the guy or anything but usually guys from small schools take longer to develop. He's been real good in Baltimore, although he doesn't have to carry his team as much as Ryan does he's still playing great.

Haven't realy seen them play too many games, only highlights.
Too early to tell. But I would have never guessed Ryan would do this well this season and that Flacco has some wheels.
I'll take the laser rocket arm (Flacco).
Matt Ryan has alot better run game this yr, but as of now i think Ryan still has the better future.
Thanks PG!
They've both exceeded my expectations-Flacco may not have been a surprise b/c the Ravens already have a very good team around him, especially the D. However-supposedly, Atlanta was in shambles after last year, and were going into rebuilding mode...which made MR's fairly quick development a big surprise.
