    Default **Injury Updates**

With the number of injuries right now, might as well have a thread to post the latest.

Both Green and Federov might be playing tomorrow night, though Feds is more likely. Green states that he's 95% per Tarik, but Boudreau isn't convinced and doesn't sound like he wants to risk it. Federov skated hard today and looked okay, so they'll make the decision tomorrow.

Both Fehr and Flash sat out of practice. Despite Fehr saying that he's day to day, unlikely to start tomorrow.

BJ didn't practice today after injuring his hip last night in what might have been his most solid start ever in his career. Says he can play if asked to tomorrow night. Boudreau sounds concerned about aggravating his hip and doesn't want to risk further injury.

Poti took the day off today, but should be playing tomorrow.

All info above taken from Tarik's blog: http://voices.washingtonpost.com/capitalsinsider/2008/12/green_fedorov_getting_close.html#more

Also, in the comments section, someone mentioned that Pothier was seen skating and taking shots, though not suited up. Perhaps he will be back at season's end?

No need to rush anyone back at this point, but if Federov and Green are healthy i can't wait to see them back on the ice!

Apparently BJ is getting the start in goal as well. His hip must not be as bad as speculated yesterday.

Great news all around!! Though I'm not sure I like the decision to start BJ - lets hope that hip is 100%
...and I always wondered 'why can't he stay dead?' It doesn't change any good thing that he said. What matters is his life and not how he died. Why can't he just be a nice Jewish guy? - Tommy Womack

Per Tarik: Clark also got his cast off today (and hopes to be back in a few weeks), and Schultz was skating. Damn, if/when this team gets healthy, they are going to be dangerous!

Okay, get this. Theodore is injured, Varlamov is headed to Verizon Center now, but won't make it until probably 2nd period. So, the web producer Brett Leonhart is going to be the backup until Varlamov arrives. WTF????

Also, no word on how Theodore injured his hip. With BJ having aggravated his hip injury last game, it is not beyond the realm of possibility that we see Varlamov take the ice.

I wonder if Varly starts tomorrow against his idol carey price and the habs. That'd be pretty cool although I'd probably want johnny playing seeing as he's been lights out. But if that hip is sore I'd really like to see Sim...he's a good goaltender.

I'm guessing Johnny will play, but I wouldn't rule out the possibility he may be be too tired to play back-to-back games with a sore hip.

Backstom had a migraine headache. I think Feds probably aggrevated the ankle injury and Sloan went into the boards hard, but Tarik has no word yet on the injuries. Damn, great performance by Varlamov when we start getting injured players back and now more injuries.

Looks like Fehr and Flash should be back for tomorrow's game. Fedorov is not making the trip to LI. Theodore is still hurting, but should be back VERY soon (pretty much day to day). Sloan is uncertain, but Tarik "assumes he'll make the trip".
