Default Anybody Else Have The Kuerig Coffeemaker?

My wife got me this for Xmas and I have to say that this thing is a coffee drinkers dream. It is so nice to have a fresh cup of coffee every time you reach for a cup.

Xmas day I tried several different flavors and didn't realize I had drank six cups at one point. She also bought me the Perfect Pushup and needless to say because of the caffeine in my system I just had to show all of our guests how well it works.

Anybody else have one and do you love it?

I bought mine from BJ's and I LOVE it. I used to brew a whole pot, drink 2 cups, then pour the rest down the drain. And I could never seem to get the concentration right (either too strong or too weak). This thing makes a perfect cup every time. I buy some decaf for after dinner if I'm in the mood but don't want to be up all night. Mrs. TLC uses it just for the hot water for tea. They also sell a bunch of varieties of flavored coffees/teas/cocoa but thus far I've only purchased the Green Mountain bulk pack at BJ's, and the extra bold Sumatran Reserve and the Hazelnut from Giant.

We have top of the line Kuerig at my office. It even has a connection to the hot water so you can do tea and hot chocolate. Its a great machine! Good job, TLC!

The major benefit, which I neglected to mention, is the time I save. With 2 kids and both parents working, mornings are a blur for us. All I have to do is push a button, and in less then a minute, I've got a hot cup of great coffee, and cleanup consists of taking the used cartridge and throwing it in the trash. Couldn't be more simple.

We have one at my office, it is very convenient. There are so many different flavors its great. Do you have to buy it from Keurig or do they sell it in stores? I'm sorta interested in getting one if the price isn't too ridiculous

Yeah, I would do the same thing with a whole pot of coffee and like you could never get flavor consistency. My wife bought me the variety pack and it's perfect for when you have guest over. I like my coffee strong and I've tried Black Magic and Coffee Peoples Black Tiger. All I need is two cups and then it's onto decaf.

Oh yeah, Starbucks can kiss my arse.

I got mine from BJ's Wholesale Club (same thing as Costco or Sam's) and it came with a big variety pack of K-cups. You can buy the K-cups online through various avenues, but Giant now sells a few flavors and BJ's sells the bulk packs of Green Mountain Colombian Fair Trade Select.

I also buy water in bulk from BJ's and use that instead of tap water. You don't have to do that, just a personal preference.

You can buy them at many retailers. They can be pricey, but do some research. Target has them for a decent price.

If you really want to impress your guests, Breville makes a K-cup display rack. It holds 30 K-cups and has 2 sides on a swivel. I bought it at Linens and Things because they're going out of business and I got it for like 40% off or something.

The other must-have accessory is a bottle of Bailey's Mint Chocolate (damn you HOF44, now I'm addicted)

We don't really think about the cost of coffee, because it is amortized in $1-4 increments.

Let's assume you drink 1 cup of coffee per day, every day. Also, you purchase the bulk pack of K-cups which is 44 cents per cup. I don't know the exact prices but I'll assume $1.45/cup for Dunkin donuts and $3.16/cup for Starbucks.

    1 week for Keurig:

    $0.44 x 7= $3.08

    Dunkin Donuts:

    1.45 x 7= $10.15

    Starbucks:

    3.16 x 7= $22.12

So per week you're saving anywhere from $7-19.

The coffeemaker will run you about $150 (more or less).

In this example, it pays for itself in 2-6 months. If you drink less frequently, it might take you a year. But even then, you start saving money.

Well, considering the conveinence factor and most imortantly taste, cost is not an issue for me. I also have a connection for $6.00 a pack.

I've never heard of this. I go to BJ's. I'll have to check it out. I drink anywhere from 3 to 4 cups a day. I have a regular coffee maker (basket, filters).
