It will take what for you to believe the Skins are legit for that season?

After the Giants game, everyone thought we are in for a long season. Then we went 4-0 after that to improve to 4-1. Many started to believe we are for real.
Then things started to turn a little. Losing to the Rams and barely beating the Browns and Lions. Still at 6-2 you felt okay but concerned. Then it every collapsed to a 2-6 finish.


What will it take for you to believe the Skins are legit for that season? A legit playoff team?


For me, the Skins will have to reach 10 victories by week 15. With 2 weeks to go at that point, you are 10-4. 10 wins usually will get you a playoff birth and by having 10 wins with a couple of weeks left in the season, you feel comfortable about your playoff chances.

Basically, the Skins seal their playoff fate early. The Skins having to rally late in the season to make the playoffs doesn't give me much faith. In 2005, The Skins luck eventually ran out against Seattle in round 2. In 2007, we were spent by the time we face Seattle in round 1.

When JC and Coach make teams scared of us in the air.........Nuff said. Our defense finished 4th overall for a reason. Our RB finished 4th overall for a reason. Our QB and coach has to make that step

When people have to worry about our passing game. Everything else is good enough where it's at to make a legitimate superbowl run...just not our passing game.

1. a good pass rush. cause if u take a look at the giants and carolina their secondarys aint nothing but their line push is off the charts. we clearly have the better secondary...

2, a good oline.. both of those teams are swelled up at the line... probably two teams with the best one two punch in the running game.. and we have the better rbs.. ladell and portis my opinion is slightly above both d williams, and jon stewart..... brandon jacobs and d ward..

3. a accurate qb.. wiith the top 2, plus a accurate qb. we can go places..
i think colt brennan can square up with jake easily and not far behind eli...
jason campbell, just aint cuttin the butter. dont se it in his eyes. sorry if i offended any jason campbell fanatics. just too inaccurate with his passes hitting the turf first or over thrown when the receivers got a step on the defender

id say a offense march down the field and score atleast 3 td's a game and defense remaining the same would make me believe.

Every loss ill be a close game. Both lines will be more dominant. The QB will make plays and be able to put the game on his back and won't have to count on the defense.

Beat teams we are suppose to beat and win some games against tougher opponents with never giving up a blow out.

effective pass rush and be able to throw up 24 points a game or atleast 22ish.

when we have a QB who averages MORE than 1.5 TDs per game

when we have a QB who has touch on a deep ball...consistently

when we have a QB who knows when to throw the ball away v. take the sack

when we have a QB who knows how to efficiently work the clock

when we have a QB who doesn't throw an 8 yard out at the feet of his WRs

when we have a QB who can sense defenders around him

when we have a QB who can suceed in the Red Zone at a rate above 30%

when we have a QB who isn't anything more than a 2nd stringer

Then, once we have a QB who is at least a top ten QB (and not one of the 3 worst in the league) AND Vinny is gone. Then I will feel we might have a chance.

Rolling on mediocre teams. Just crushing teams like the Rams and Browns. I'm talking putting up at least 24 on offense, with a couple turnovers from the defense or even a score, while still holding them to 10 points max.

Playing tough with elite teams like the Steelers and Giants and pulling wins out against them.

Literally not knowing who's gonna score for us that day, whether it's Portis dominating, or Moss and Cooley with a couple scores, or Thomas or Kelly with TDs each, because during any given game all of those guys can make defenses pay.

Once those things are happening by Week 12 or so, then I'll believe we're a legit team.

I rather take the SB win instead of an offense who couldn't get the job done when it mattered the most.
