Insanity day 2. Nailed it.
Well I shouldn't say nailed it but I got through it pretty good. Wow this thing is intense

The hotter the heat, the harder the steel, no pressure no diamonds, we compete, we win
We are the next decade of the Washington Redskins
Don't buy muscletech its overpriced and marketed to death.
I like green mag by controlled labs its creatine chelate and does'nt cause any bloat like monohydrate does. I love controlled labs products that make great products. I use white flood preworkout and green mag postworkout and while i'm cutting I drink purple in train by them great products without the marketing BS.
My but things have come a long way since EAS came out with creatine back in the early 90's,(**** was nasty btw).
Last week with the chains. Well,on the barbells anyway. Moving to the dumbells 2 weeks from now. Found an easy way to rig the chains up in a quick way on to the dumbells and have tried it out. Pretty cool. Looking forward to it. Just taking a whey protein these days for supplementation and that's pretty much all I need. For now.![]()
I'll be doing a sponsored log of Con-cret starting this week which is a "concentrated" creatine. It's supposed to avoid that bloating feel usually associated when taking micronized creatine. I'll let you know how it is once I get it.
I'd say get a caribeaner (Wow, butchered that word), attach it to the chain and put the caribeaner around your thumb. Do that for both sides. Easy.
I am thinking about trying AtLargeNutrition's Results. I'm not a big supplement guy, but that's 400 calories extra a day and that $50 would probably offset the cost of food I spend. I've heard great things so I'm thinking of giving it the old college try. Now I just have to decide that I want to part with $50.
I took a couple of 1/2 chains,( roughly about 8" long),and hooked a large CARABINERto each,(the smaller chains were extras that Nautilus sent us). The carabiners are large enough for the the bench chains we have to fit in easily. Simply hooked the bench chains inside them then looped the 1/2 inch chain around the dumbells and back inside the carabiner. Moved my grip to the inside of the dumbell to offset the weight and that was that. Little awkward at first,(as chain use can be),but got used to it pretty fast. When I make the switch in workouts a week or two from now,I'll fold the bench chains in half and lock them the carabiner for the flat bench and maybe the incline since the benches are so low to the ground.
See above for the chain thing. It's a bit easier on the thumb.Though I do believe I saw a video from the guys at West Side using that way. And as you know, that's precisely why I take the supplements these days. Just cheaper in the long run than eating the equivalent in food,(and faster to eat).

No really gang. It was a mistake. I hit the wrong button and accidentally closed the thread,(how I don't know). Apologies. I'll make sure to drink more coffee before logging on in the future.![]()
it's OK PCS...
As part of the P90X routine, I did yoga this morning. That is one tuff workout! Not so much cardio or strength, but the sweat is just rolling off my head during that one. Still looking into the creatine for later. I guess I'll just go down to my local GNC store and ask their advice. There is so much variety on the market today, it makes my head spin.
I have been using Animal Pump for about two months. I have become a big fan of it. Also, I lift after work and you can take out the red energy pill, which is loaded with caffeine. A lot of preworkout pumps are powders and loaded with caffeine, which you can't remove in powder form. I can never sleep if I take that stuff after work to lift. Plus the caffeine isn't really going to help with building mass.

Decided two weeks ago it was time to start shedding the winter coat, so to speak, an annual Spring tradition for me. Not doing too much right now, just some short runs with the dogs and some pushups/pullups on the home gym, that sort of thing. It's been up and down so far...I lost 4 pounds the first week but gained it all back (plus one pound) in one night hanging out with friends, eating, drinking beer, and watching WWE Royal Rumble.
Week 2, I lost some of the weight and then gained a little back going to Bonefish with my family.
In the middle of week 3, and I back down around where I was at the end of Week 1, so we'll say I've lost 4 pounds in 2-1/2 weeks. Will probably need to pick it up a little to be ready for the beach in June
And the Draft Day Party...my God that's going to be a landmine.
If you are trying to look good for the beach you shouldn't worry about how much you weigh. Gaining or losing doesn't work the way you described. It takes food 24 hours to turn into fat if it not used by the body. The same reason why people carb load the night before a race or game. Plus if you weigh yourself at different times of the day that can change things. Some of it will be water weight too, which can go up or down during the week.

Can anyone recommend a good, relatively cheap, adjustable weight set for use with P90x?
Hey Renaissance,
I've been looking for a weight set to use with P90X also. Right now I'm using the resistance bands. The Bow Flex adjustabe dumb bells look really good, but are kinda expensive. The ones that go up to 52 Lbs, go for about $400. Although I think they are on sale right now at Dick's sporting goods. They have other adjustable weight sets on their site that aren't quite as expensive.
Did my P90X workout this morning: Legs and Back + Ab ripper. The legs and back one is the only one that makes me a little queasy.
