Spring Fever .........

For those of you in the NE corridor, the last 6 weeks have been brutal:

Unbelievably cold, frigid temps. Snow, ice, sleet ............

After this weekend of 50s & 60s, I'm sick with a bout of Spring Fever! Pitchers and Catchers report next week. March is around the corner!

Today, I took my motorcycle out of the garage, gave her a good cleaning and she fired right up. I took my bike out for a ride. WOW! I love the non-cold weather. During the summer, I kind of forget how much I miss the non-riding season. HERE'S TO SPRING!!!

Anyone else do some spring things this weekend?

Grilled some steaks last night, usually a warmer weather thing for us. Followed up by grilling some bratwurst this afternoon.

Was at my parents' house this weekend. Dad cooked on the grill Saturday night and this morning I just went outside and sat on their back deck for a while, listening to the wind and birds and watching the doggies run around the backyard

Cruised back to DC tonight with the windows down (was 75 out most of the way) and was crossing the river to get in to the city right at magic hour - sun setting on the pentagon and monuments It was beautiful

Are you freakin' serious? We have gotten what 3 inches of snow all year and it has been a "brutal" winter. While we did have a couple cold snaps this winter has been hardly brutal. Winter will be back next week with chances for significant snow. If it wasn't for the cold, skiing season would've sucked this year.

The Capitals dominate, Kobe vs. LeBron and the Skins will always be the Skins win or lose...

But yeah spring is a nice season but it is followed by the worst season of them all, summer. Hot, humid, insects all over the place, like walking in a pool of water around here..summer sucks. I've always said, you can't ski in summer but you can swim indoors in winter and go fishing.

After highs in the 20s and 30s, 50 feels like 70 to me.

Felt good again to have a smoke outside without freezing my nuts off.

cracked the window about an inch to let in some of that fresh air during my drive.

Yes, I agree with those that say it has been a "brutal" winter. It's been brutally cold for this area. Everybody's electric bill has confirmed that.
