Well folks, its time to get a small taste of football and tailgating in our mouths
again, after 4 months. This Draft Day tailgate has started to become a very
popular event, to the point where most folks don't even want to leave the
tailgate, instead choosing to monitor the draft events from the tailgate. This
draft day is one of great importance, and what better way to spend it, but
with your fellow board members over some beers, great food and other
libations..

I was overjoyed at the way folks stepped up in bringing food, drinks, supplies,
etc... Lets keep it up!!!. Again in order to be a bit more organized with what
food, drink, and supplies we have at the tailgate, I ask that you please post
what you are bringing to the tailgate. I will be updating this first post with the
total list. For those who don't know what to bring, please check the list in this
first post to see what is needed. Not everyone can bring something, and we
understand that, but we do ask that the regulars to the tailgate try to chip in
something.

What is it:
We are a gathering of fans who love to come together and have a good time
out in the lots before and after the game (or in this case, the draft). We
have a lot of good stuff going on including lots of great food, drinks, games,
music, etc. This year we will be joined by the good folks over at RedskinsHeads.
Hope to see lots of Redskins fans there!


When is it:
Date: Saturday, April 25
Time: As soon as the lot is open (will provide details as they come)


Where is it:
Section A-31 in the Purple Lot. The folks at Fedex Field normally limit parts of
the parking lot, including our normal location (E-43 Green Lot). For This event,
we have decided upon this location.


Who can come:
Absolutely everyone... the more the merrier! This tailgate was started for the
members of ExtremeSkins, Redskin Roadtrips, RedskinsHeads and their families,
but it has become a haven for all redskin fans (and some celebrities). Many
folks came to the tailgate, hung out, and are now members of the board. We
accept fans of all sorts, even of other teams. We ask if you come to the
tailgate, that you remember one thing... treat others as you would want to
be treated! We appreciate the razzing of of opponents fans, as a matter of
fact, we encourage it! We do not however, tolerate any physical violence,
threats, property damage, etc...

Fans of all ages are welcome!!! - We have non-alcoholic items as well


What can I do?
While we do not solicit any contributions to the tailgate, they are welcome.
Many of us who help run the tailgate spend alot of money in food, supplies
and other items. Anything you can do to help is highly appreciated, such as
bringing food, drinks, or even donating monetarily.

During the course of the last couple seasons, many people stepped up and
helped with the organization, setup, working, etc of the tailgate, which
resulted in its success. If you would like to help out in this capacity, please
let us know.

If you are bringing a food or drink item to the tailgate, please post a response
in this thread with what you plan to bring !!

I'll bring liquor and beer. I am leaning towards grilling reuben sandwiches, four at a time. They're mighty tasty. I'll probably grill like 20 and cut them into quarters.

I'm in. Bringing my cousin Mark for the first time, who's as big a Skins fan as any of us.

We'll bring at least a case of beer, and probably something else TBD.

Sweet baby Jesus, you know I'm going to be rolling for this thing. I'll probably be the first one there again, around 7:00 a.m. If I can't sleep, I may be there at dawn to watch the sun come up...anyone want to join?

I plan on no less than 10-12 hours of awesomeness.

I will be updating this post as I get more ideas/money, etc. But for now, you can put me down for the following:

Old Faithful, ready for her second season of tailgating.
Large amount of charcoal
Salmon planks (1 for now, but possibly 2)
Guinness
Some other form of grilling meat, (possibly Italian Sausages) and buns

Also, I discussed this with Mark the Homer awhile back, but it's an idea I had. What does everyone think of the idea of getting a huge board, magnetic or otherwise, where we can post picks as they happen, sort of our own ES Big Board? This might come in especially handy if we don't have a T.V. again this year.

I seriously can't wait for this, possibly the happiest day of my year. Anyone want to camp out overnight and do a two day tailgate for Day 2 as well?

I'd love to, but I'll probably have to work late that Friday and it takes me several hours to pack my ****. Yeah, phoward, we discussed you over burgers earlier today (see burger thread). Everybody said you got there two hours before everybody else, haha.
