Greetings! And welcome to The Information Index.
Rdskn4Lyf21 had an idea he posted in the Feedback Forum which I thought was great: Start a help thread which would be a one-stop source for finding answers to frequently asked questions. He is busy with school right now, so I'm going to start the thread, and he'll help me with it periodically as time allows.
This Post #1 will hold an index to the other helpful threads on this site and other sites, by using the fairly new, powerful, but underused tag search function. If a member has a question about anything - anything at all - chances are it's been asked and answered somewhere at some point on this site. This thread will index the thread which we feel provides the best answer to the most commonly asked questions. This will be an ongoing and frequently updated project.
Here are some answers to questions about:
Avatars Here's a thread about avatars.

Noteworthy Posts A small sampling of posts some might consider to be notable.
Official ES/RR Home Game Tailgate Info Here's your opportunity to meet in real life some of the people you've been debating all these months/years. These are organized and managed by Pez & Huly with major food/refreshment contributions from Redskin-roadtrips.com and regular ES Tailgate members. It is funded in whole by its participants, so although everybody is welcome, food/refreshment contributions are strongly encouraged. If you're arriving by Metro and food/refreshment contributions are not convenient, please do not hesitate to offer a monetary contribution. A sticky will be found in the Tailgate Forum the week prior. If you're driving, use beltway Exit 17 or 17B, Landover Rd (westbound), then make first left, then follow the road past the light and turn left into the Green E Lot (you'll need a Green Parking Pass). The group meets at the tree line opposite of Gate E near the lamp post marked E-43. If there is no ES Tailgate thread up at the moment, you can do a tag search on "es tailgate" for general info.
Official ES/RR Away Game Tailgate Info Depends on the venue. Redskin-roadtrips.com organizes and manages a number of the away games to the benefit of extremeskins.com, frequently in tandem with an ES member's thread. Otherwise, it's up to whatever member wants to be willing to step up, take the reins, and start an Away Game Tailgate thread. To maximize exposure, you may start this thread in the Stadium Forum. These threads are normally stickied the week prior. If you plan on attending, know these are funded in whole by its participants and the expenses can be significant - so if you can't make a food/refreshment contribution, don't be afraid to offer a monetary contribution to the organizer/manager. It's the right thing to do.Note: This site has recently closed down operations.

Parking On-Site / Metro Options For directions or parking, click a link. Lots normally open 4 hours prior to kickoff. Vehicles must possess an advanced-purchased colored parking pass which is clearly displayed prior to approaching all lots. Beltway exits 15, 16, or 17 heading west can be used to access FedExField. If you'd like to avoid most of the game traffic, here are some alternate routes. A copper parking pass requires use of Barlowe Rd. off of Rt 202, Landover Rd. Recreation Vehicles require a special RV pass and must use Landover Rd/Brightseat Rd/Redskins Rd. (north) entrance. There is no official cash parking on stadium grounds. For Metro Rail, take the Blue line towards Largo Town Center and get off at Morgan Blvd Station and follow the crowd. For returning home after night games, Metro will announce the scheduled time for the last train to leave the Morgan Blvd Station here.
Parking Off-Site / Cash Parking Cash parking is available from privately owned lots around the stadium. Click a graphic for details.
Photos Naturally, the best forum in the National Football League should have the best photos in the National Football League. My apologies. However, you'll find some excellent ExtremeSkins member photos here.
Pigskin Glossary Everything you wanted to know but were afraid to ask.
Questions Have a Redskins-related question? You could do a site-wide search if you wanted. Otherwise, ask your question in the The Questions Thread, and you'll get a quick reply from the super-smart ES membership.
Redskins Database A site motivated by and suspiciously similar (like exactly) to the gone-but-not-forgotten ES founders' original database.

Rule Clarifications This new version of vBulletin has prompted the addition of the following rule clarifications which are implied but not specifically found in the Forum Rules link:
- Please do not abuse the tag line. This new version of vBulletin includes tags. Tags may seem anonymous to members, but the mods can see their author. Do not belittle or insult fellow members or otherwise break any rules within the tag line.
- No politics in The Stadium. The veterans of this site already know this. This stems from the language in Rule 4.
- In addition: if you've been NNT'd or you've lost your sig or you've been locked out of certain functions and you don't know why or what to do about it, click the links for clues. Reading the Rules page from top to bottom will also provide the solution to your problem. And if you're interested in avoiding a ban, here are some more fun facts.

Team Send-Offs and Welcome-Backs A sticky is typically found in the Stadium Forum the week leading up to a road game. These are organized by Pez & Huly and take place at Redskins Park in Ashburn, VA. Come and show support for your team!
The Magic Blue Arrow Many are not yet aware of this. With this relatively new version of vBulletin, each quote now includes a little blue arrow icon. Clicking on it will whisk the reader to the original quote in its entirety including any photos. The browser's back button will bring the reader right back. Example:

Tickets Redskins games have been sold out since 1966, but sometimes the team gets give-backs from their opponent, so the week before a home game, it doesn't hurt to check this site for a thread, or phone the Redskins Ticket Office at 301 276-6050. Otherwise, you're looking at the aftermarket. For price, the Classifieds Forum on this site is great! Otherwise, I personally recommend an eBay auction, combined with a sniping site such as esnipe.com. That's probably your next best value, although you might also consider craigslist.com. If you're more concerned with seat location, Stubhub's interactive stadium map is an excellent search tool. Click the icon for more info.
