2009- Dan Demotes Jim or fires him next week and hires Mike Shanahan to be the coach in 2009.

2010- Dan will fire or demote Jim after the 2009 season and hire Mike Shanahan in 2010.

If that happened expect heavy fines and sanctions against the team. Remember we have to abide like everyone else with the Rooney rule. If we suddendly fired Zorn the entire NFL would expect us to have Shannahan in mind for the job. The problem is we need to interview a minority candidate and the men or women who meet that criteria wouldn't likely want to interview in such a sham process and we'd be in trouble unless we found a patsy idiot like Art Shell to interview for the position but even then everyone knows we aren't serious about this. This package could lead us into serious trouble and loss of draft picks.

Its much more likely that we bring in Cutler but keep Zorn this year. Then in the middle of the year when the offense struggles we fire him and promote Blanche to interum coach. He'd be told that he isn't going to keep the position next season unless a miracle happens and in the offseason we "interview" Greg and bring in Shannahan and hire Shannahan and keep Blanche as cordinator. At least that way we appear to follow the Rooney rule

I would rather have Shanahan as well. I too wouldn't mind seeing how well Zorn performs this season first though. Getting a good young quarterback that was actually in a WCO and played well is the best decision this franchise could possibly make.

But give Zorn this next season to try. If he fails then bring in Shan and lets get this WCO offense thing going.

I don't see Shanahan taking over for Zorn. I think Zorn will be a winner this year and be in the maroon and black for a while. At least that is what I hope. I am tired of Danny's win now mentality and always getting new freaking people in here.

If something is going on behind the scenes with Shanahan, then we can pretty much pencil Cutler in now. Zorn may already be up a creek. Man does Dan Snyder know how to mess up a once proud franchise.
