Thread: SportsCenter: Redskins On The Clock

Default SportsCenter: Redskins On The Clock

Did not see this posted anywhere, at least as a thread (forgive me if so)

    http://espn.go.com/video/clip?id=403...goryid=2459789

Kiper has the needs of the skins right (OLB, RT, DE)

Throws out Maybin as a rush end and Andre Smith as a RT solution.

Also talk about how season is all about the growth of Zorn and Campbell

    Other stuff too...
2011 Redskins are going to surprise people behind Sexy Rexy/John Beck...but seriously they could do something

RIP Sean Taylor - would have been a HOFer

I know nothing about Maybin other than stuff online - anyone actually watch this kid when he played at Penn State?

Maybin reminds me so much of Carter. I dont know if thats a good thing for our defense.

Maybin would be nice but he still has to fill out a little more. I dont think he's a day one starter either...just my opinion....

Dilfer and even old shellhead bring up some very good points about Campbell and the need for him to have more intensity and desire this season.

maybin? Do we really want a 235 pound defensive end? Sweet God, he's going to get pushed into the secondary on every run play. No thanks.

ive said it before and i will say it again i only want maybin if he is playing slb for us in a marcus washington type role. i dont think that it is worth it at 13 to draft a guy only to play him out of position though. i still think that we need to go with a right tackle. im starting to get more and more on the andre smith bandwagon.

I just hope the redskins have a first round pick for the draft. I worry they will trade that pick away for a player.

I'm pretty much in line with your thinking too.

For me: Ayers, OT, or Sanchez if we cannot trade out.

Smith yes, Maybin I'm unsure about. I have to think we'll take one of the Big 4 if they're left and of course Orakpo/Curry if an anomaly happens, but other than that I see us trading down with someone. I'd think there's a team willing....maybe the Broncos so they could have back to back picks?

i think we are in a very good position to trade back with someone who wants a qb.

If you want a linebacker go to Penn State, if you want DL you go to Ga, Tenn, Fla. Personally I rather have Andre Smith, but on the Defense I rather have the the kid from UCS that plays middle lb I forgat his name.

Maybin is coming out of PSU after his Sophmore year. He had a good year, but he was a speed rusher with his hand in the dirt. He lacks run stopping ability. If he would have stuck it out another 2 years I think he would have moved to an OLB position and could have been close to Arrington. Being a PSU fan I would not pick Maybin, I think he is going to take too long to become NFL quality.
