yeah i literally confiscate at least one a day....they're sooo annoying while i'm trying to teach.

But they're fun to pop out when I'm having drinks or something, bc I keep them in my purse. People love them.

But I've started putting them into the raffle box on Fridays, so other kids can win them

You probably routinely see groups of skaters that just arent very good.

My friends are nowhere near pro level but all of them can land a ton of tricks. I've never seen people skate who just routinely fall every time.

The only thing close to that would be if somebody is really trying hard to land a specific trick.

They do it the same reason any man does anything.. to have sex.

It's to impress chicks. I nearly cracked my head open trying to ride the rail, it was then I decided to focus on playing guitar instead. It's much safer.

I grew up skating pretty much everyday for about 10 to 11 years. I still have a skateboard and like to ride it from time to time. In an effort to get my son into skateboarding, I bought him a board when he was two, he is now 4 and kind of gets it. I am planing on building a small half pipe in the yard for lip tricks next year.

Me and my buddies spent most of our time on a few different half pipes that were built in out back yards. What you were watching was street skating which is very challenging, half pipe at least for me was a lot easier.

Flip tricks like the one you described are low percentage tricks for most skateboarders, grinds and rail slides are a lot easier. Mini half pipes tricks usually include variations of lip tricks (grinds, rail slides, small airs etc.) The people who are really good can throw flips into the mix on the half pipe.

Most kids you see skateboarding are usually realy good kids who are looking for a place to perform their tricks, which usually leads to trouble. Due to the increasing popularity, most towns are providing locations with ramps for kids to skate.

I am posting from my phone so I can't provide a link. If you want to see the innovater, master and greatest street skater of all time look up Rodney Mullen.

oh man. especially in california. i wouldn't mind it as much if they were playing with them discreetly on something soft, but they bang 'em on the desks right in the middle of a lesson....i can't deal with that

Christian Hosoi is probably my all time favorite skater. You really got to watch the pros to appreciate it. Watch Hosoi.

If you want your mind blown, watch Rodney Mullen. HOLY ****.

I'll never get on a board though. I'd break my ***.

My teachers in middle school would never give them back

I still have one that's next to my incense burner and whenever I light that up I grind on it with the tech deck

Daewon Song vs Rodney Mullen is still one of my all time favorite videos, but Fully Flared took over in that category because the production on fully flared is just insane.

I used to skate a long time ago in middle school, wasnt very good but I broke 4 toes going off a ramp and decided I just wasnt going to get any good.

Most of my friends still skate though so when we hang out its usually a bunch of skate videos.

Whats crazy is how technical some of the young kids in the pro scene are, its like the next generation, some of their tricks are so solid and fluid that my friends just want to quit because they have been skating 10+ years and arent that good.
