Won't do you any good. They are sold out. The password was Crosby's Vag.

Ted has made it impossible for non-STH's to get tix. At least at face value. I bought two, but way overpaid. Regardless of how deep in the playoffs we go, this will probably be the last time I go.

I feel Ted is being fair. There should be some benefit for persons spending two thousand dollars and up for tickets to all 42 regular season and 3 preseason games compared to the average fan that goes to 1 or 2 "prime" games a year.

Agreed. Season ticket holders SHOULD have first dibs at playoff tickets. What Ted is doing isn't unique to the Caps. If the Skins ever had a home playoff game, we'd see the same thing from Danny Boy. In fact, one of the "perks" of being a Redskins season ticket holder is you get the first crack at playoff tickets.

I picked up two tickets to game 2 in the 2nd row of the upper deck for $115 a piece. Thats not too terrible IMHO. Hockey tickets are expensive to begin with anyways.

I don't have an issue with STH's buying the tickets. However, there's a disconnect somewhere. There are ticket brokers everywhere with tickets, and doubling the prices. I usually buy a partial plan (2 pick 'em plans), and attend ~20 games a season. It's just not possible or realistic for me to buy STH's since I never know when I'm in town. I used to get the password for the presale. Don't anymore, so I'm not sure what the purpose is of the ticket packages (no benefit to buying them).

That being said, I think what irks me the most is the STH's that sell them on craigslist to ANYONE, regardless of fan affiliation. I understand why Ted is doing what he's doing, and I"m cool with it, as long as it doesn't turn out that tons of Pens fans show up because the locals aren't willing to drop 200 bucks on 100 dollar tix.

There is. They ALREADY get playoff tix at reduced prices. They don't need extras

The problem isn't STH getting extra seats. The problem is the team sold an exorbitant amount of ST to brokers. There was no mechanism in place to prevent this. Hence why you can look online at Ebay, StubHub, Razorgator.... and find literally 2500 tickets. This is how brokers make money. Identify the "hot" ticket a year in advance and gobble up as many ST as you can. Apparently, the Caps did not limit how many ST a STH could purchase. There is a broker in Phoenix with an entire row in Sec 117, right on the ice. You could pick which seats you want to buy. Unfortunately, there will be 41 sellouts next year, meaning those of us for whom holding ST is impossibel will have to pay thru the nose to see a game.

They wont go on sell until game 5 is needed, so if the series starts 1-1 (WHICH IT WONT! ) there will be a game 5.

Got two tickets today around 10 am for 69 bucks each. Ended up being better than our usual tickets. Great view of each goal we had today too.

Figured that would be the case. Of course I'm hoping for a sweep, but if game 5 tickets go on sale, I would certainly appreciate it if a STH out there could help me out in any way.

Tickets I had for this game were Row 114 seat 15 and 16 for $69 each. (15 and 16 were end seats). Wish the rest of the tix we got were for those seats/section heh.
