Question Does Melvin Mora deserve to be an all-star?

Well, what do you think... does Melvin Mora deserve to be an all-star? I don't care about starting or backup, just should he be on the team at all?

That's another good argument. His average deserves consideration by itself and the fact that he is versatile.
I'm leaning toward yes... but I will say that outside of Baltimore, I doubt that many fans have even heard of him.
    Another post down the drain...

I guess I should have read this one before Sidney Ponson. Melvin is having an amazing year. He still leads the AL in batting (should be leading the league but Pujols is SICK.) Thanks to the "every team must be represented" rule there is no doubt he will be an all-star.

Absolutely, no question about it, he's an all-star, I'd say the only rep. that the O's are going to have.

This isnt even a question. Not only an all-star but a starter. Defensively he is awesome in left field just amazing. Offensively there is no way you cannot start this guy. When you lead the league in batting average and on base percentage that shows enough. He's also 8th in slugging percentage and 2nd in slugging + obp and hes only second cause delgado is awesome. It makes me sick that they can even think about starting someone else and the process is not done right if he isnt in LF at the beginning of that game.

Melvin Mora is one of the most surprising stories of the season thus far. To have put up the statistics that he has attained definitely makes him worthy of all star status in my opinion.

Melvin Mora is in the top 3 in avg. He absolutely deserves to be in thr all-star game. He probably would have been named as a reserve if he weren't hurt.
