Default COMPUTER NERDS HELP ( Flash Player BS )

ughhh.....as everyone knows I know my ish on computers cuz I've been doing this crap for 100 years now and I just can't seem to get my flash player to function.

I just did a system reinstall of XP home on a machine.

I have only ONE account, set as ADMIN under Control panel.

When I go into safe mode as the ADMIN/ADMIN I can create new profiles of admin access ability but those won't work either.

I can't log in as ADMIN in reg mode using the administrator as the user and *blank* or administrator as the PW. ( "Account restrictions" )

Under the computer management I have NO option listed to change accounts to administrator.

Logged in as safemode admin I can't view this screen either.

This is really getting annoying cuz I have uninstalled and reinstalled the lastest version and old versions. I've used 5 different browsers. I've enabled any setting applicable in the browser's preference or tools folder as well.

My msconfig settings won't save either cuz my main profile doesn't have admin priv.

    I'm fresh out of ideas.....

It sounds like your install is fubar.

I'd start over and get all updates for winxp/drivers before trying to install anything else.

Yeah, there's no data, so just reinstall the OS. After you get it installed, load the latest service pack. I can't remember the last time I messed with home, but isn't the account you setup when you install the OS an admin account by default? You could name it user or whatever you want.

Your problem is not Flash. It sounds like your default admin user is corrupt.

Do a total reinstall and don't mess with the admin user or you'll get the behavior you have.

    Create another admin.

If Windows "repair", actually meant repair you might have a shot. But there's nothing to lose by trying it, you can't mess it up any more and you have the option to wipe clean and start again.

I would make a comment about microsoft and suggest installing linux, but being that Flash is what you're trying to get working I'll refrain from such comments and resolve to badmouth Adobe for sucking. Screw you Adobe!
