Nah, you're safe, he currently practices in Idaho.

By the way, I forgot the most important thing: congrats on your 3 healthy children!! What a blessing I can't wait to have some of my own.

Seriously though, good luck. I understand you're nervous, but if you have a good doc you trust, I'm sure you'll be just fine.

I have heard it takes like 150 times before it actually works.

What's the point? If your a tom cat messing around then I completely understand wanting this to get done. But considering I don't know you or judge you, if she can't have any babies then you doing that seems like overkill to me and makes you look guilty
Guilty of what? wanting to have careless sex with his wife?

I know eactly where he is coming from and it's for is wifes health.

We should have a ES get snipped party weekend.

Well getting tubes tied is extremely invasive surgery. While a vasectomy is an outpatient procedure that can be reversed much easier.

Plus the costs between the two are huge.

That's a very valid point, it's better to be safe than sorry.

Here's what I don't get (for those of you that have had it done):

What if, heaven forbid, your wife meets an untimely end and you re-marry a woman that would also like a family andf you hadn't stockpiled any of your baby juice? Wouldn't that be something to worry about?

Seems like you're really limiting your options then, IMO. My kids are my world but, if something were to happen with my current family, I'd at least want the ability to have another.

Then I wouldn't suggest it for you,I don't feel having more would make up for the loss anyway.

Plenty of kids out there to adopt if you desired..

I would be devastated if that happened, and really wouldn't have any desire to start over. That's cool that you already have a Plan B, though, just in case there is a series of tragic deaths.

Still, a vasectomy can be potentially reversed. Plus there's adoption, or purchasing Joe Gibbs' sperm off of ebay. So there are plenty of options as far as having more kids.
