these companies are stockpiling precious metals for the eventual fall of fiat currency![]()

When global currency takes a dump, precious metals always rise. Not to mention that some of these metals are also used in manufacturing. Case in point is copper. China is using so much of the worlds copper supply right now during its building spree that the price has skyrocked and theft of copper wire from domestic construction sites for resale on the black market is huge.

A better metal investment for the next few years will be silver. Get some silver - you can thank me later.
I can please only one person each day - today is not your day. Tomorrow doesn't look good either.

I live in my own little world, but that's ok. They know me here.
I was responding to the guy suggesting I read the news. Gold has been a hedge against inflation for a long time but I don't ever remember such a onslaught of people trying to buy it like that. Agreed there may be more of an inflation threat these days, but still the number of companies doing this just seems strange to me.
There's been enough discussion to satisfy my curiosity, at this point I seem to be just explaining why I asked.![]()

So has anyone used this? I found a gold chain a while back, going to sell it to them...wanted to see if anyone has done this before. Thanks
It's going to sound silly but if you really want to know watch the South Park cash for gold episode, pretty freakin hilarious.
That was funny. There should have a been Scrooge McDuck siting on a swimming pool filled with that yeller gold (who was stashing all the smelt it dealt it stuff) who was setting it all up and '****ing' all the rest of them while sporting an evil grin.
I notice that tv onslaught has ended, diminishing returns or diminishing sucker pool?, but there are still plenty of places on the street. Boy do I wish I would have bought some gold back then.
I believe my job as a parent is to give my kids all the blocks they need to build a life in which they can attempt to reach everything they strive for and see anything they can imagine. In a world where everybody finds it easier to destroy than build, I wish for my kids to experience the joy of seeing something for the first time and the love of creating something new.
