    Default RabidFan's Rabid Daughter

RabidFan's Daughter came into our clinic today and I mentioned that I had Redskin cast colors more of a joke than anything because 99% of little girls pick pink or purple cast colors. From the time she heard the word Redskins that's all she focused on.... telling me over and over again that the Redskins were her favorite team and reminding me what colors she wanted (she thought the cast padding should be B&G) She is the cutest little Rabid Redskins Fan I've ever seen and it does my heart good to see a child being raised so well. Her mom asked the question " What do we think of Dallas" and she said Boooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo ....lol. I tought my godson to say

Which leads me to a ?. Do you allow your children to root for other teams?

My son became an Eagles fan. This was the first clue that my wife may have been sleeping around.

Did you beat him without mercy? Did he come home to find his stuff in a pile on the front lawn? Does he look like this when you come into the room?

If not, I'm afraid you probably aren't being strict enough with him. Eagles fan...I don't have any kids, but when and if I do, if they ever pull something like that, they'll have to drop out of school and get a job, because I'll be damned if they get to eat at my table.

my son is kinda an eagles fan too. my dad is from philly and an eagles fan, and my burgundy and gold obsession made it fun for my son to "make me mad." dad fueled the fire by getting him a mcnabb jersey (which was promptly "lost"). he's not really into sports all that much, but has fun cheering for the skins when we're there. i'm pretty sure his eagle-thing is just something he does to get a rise out of me.

i have threatened to kick him out of the house though. he's 11.

my daughter is a skins fan, though. definitely daddy's little girl.

Yeah, I forgot to mention during my rant, your daughter obviously rules, and will definitely treat you well when you are in your senior years. These other kids who are Eagles fans...I'll I'm saying is if I was their parent, I wouldn't count on them. Stab you in the back they will

Such a tough area to control for the simplre reason of rebellion. Dchogs' case seems like one that could be quite prevelent in teenagers. I have an aunt who became a Cowboy fan strictly because it made my uncle, her brother, mad. The reason I can tell? Besides Romo, she can't name anyone else on the team, and could never name anyone outside of Aikman, Smith and Irvin back in the hay day. She's part of my theory of why there are so many Cowboy fans in the area, they're bandwagon antagonist irritants!

Anyhoo, I know a few people who started out liking one team for whatever reason who have gone to another, and become quite rabid in their own right. I've a friend who modestly liked the Cowboys in school and now is a casual Skins fan.

One thing is for certain, though. I will do my best to raise my kids as Skins fans. Not planning on any for a couple of years at least and we already have a Redskins onesy!

Some may say its just a game. But it's about heroes and tribes, loyalty and devotion. It's our commitment and our passion, our battle and our belief.

My son roots for the Redskins and the whole house roots for Tony Stewart, ask them about Dallas and Philthy and you'll get the same response from either my son or my daughter.

If they want to cheer for another team, I'd let them unless its Dallas or Philthy then they have to pay their own rent.

It was easy she was nice to me.Trust me....in pediatric orthopedics you have to love the kids before you work here or you wouldn't last a week. Plus I'm a big kid myself. I honestly love working with the kids so I can be silly half the time. BTW...All kids are not nice.

What a cutie!!! She is definitely being raised right!

I teach in an elementary school and have several Redskins decorations in my classroom. I also wear a jersey to school after big wins. The kids love it and sometimes younger ones, especially kindergarteners, will tell me "now I'm a Redskins fan, too" and wear shirts or jerseys to school. I love that!!
