Eloi/Alridge/Dorsey updates

Does anyone have or know of any updates involving any of these 3 players? Have the skins or any other teams made a PS offer to any of these guys?

Also anyone know if Dorsey if eligible for the PS..I have heard mixed reports saying something about how he is only allowed to be signed to an active roster in the NFL (something about NFL/CFL rules) even though he is listed as a first-year player.

The Shelton PS signing worries me because I didn't see much from him in preseason, although he looked solid in practices during camp beating hall and smoot on a couple different instances. However, I felt that Eloi has a lot more upside and really knows how to use his size (I love the catch he made on the pass from chase in the jags game, caught the ball without worrying about whether he would be hit or not) and really seems like a guy that could develop into a good #3/#4 WR. Now sold on Shelton as anything more than a practice player.

Looks like he isn't sticking around, so I don't expect a PS deal to be signed by Eloi. Disappointing...not a fan of shelton.

Good question. I'm curious to know too.

I wonder why the Skins haven't signed Alridge or Dorsey (one of them) to the PS. Seems like a lot of speed that if trained up right could be good for us next season. Eloi would have been nice to have too, especially since we might be letting a receiver go next year.

Oh well.

Eloi does have a lot of talent. Quite a catch he made the other day. I wish we could at least sign him to the practice squad now. Whatever the case, God will keep on blessing you man!

Eloi said on his Twitter page that his going to be working out down in FL, where he's from. So i guess that means the Skins just let him go. We signed Shelton to the PS though.

As for Eloi, I hope they put him on the PS.. He seems like one of those raw talents that could just use some time to develop.

Thanks for the update Ballin.

I was hoping that Eloi would make it to the pratice squad.I thought he would be complimentary addition to the receivers we already have. Trent Shelton didn't do anything to catch my attention.


I know Dorsey had to make the roster in order to be signed.

What's the deal with Alridge ? I am hoping that he will be signed to the ps.
I woould have preferred Dorsey or he to Mason. But at least 1 of the young guys made the team.

Alridge won't be back. He's just too small to play regularly in the NFL. He's a teaser because of his speed but is not durable and tends to turn the ball over.

Trent Shelton is the ST insurance policy. He is a very good coverage guy on teams and if the Redskins teams begin the year manifesting problems in kick or punt coverage you could see Shelton activated at some point of the season.

He is not being kept on the PS for his potential as a receiver.
