Default New Iphone 3GS: Must have Aps?

So this is my first time owning an Iphone, Itouch or any other Apple product. I know I am going to enjoy this phone, as I have marveled at friends and family who have appreciated it for years now.

I am trying to build up a list of "must-have" applications, such as the following below. Can you list maybe 3-5 applications that you use all the time?

    Pandora / Midomi
    Yahoo Fantasy Football
    Shazaam
    Bump
    Google Maps
    Google Earth
    Yelp / Urban Spoon
    Craigsphone
    SaveBenji's
    Mint.com
    Logmein
    i.tv

I wish I could afford the iPhone bill. I'd have one as well. I'm jealous. Enjoy

There used to be an app which had a map and points within a 20 mile radius that would tell you where all the police cars are. Lol.

Ok, here's my question: Everytime I see an iPhone commercial, and they pimp out these 75,000 apps (which I assume have to be paid for seperately...), I wonder if the iPhone get the internet.....and if so, why would you need to download a lot of these apps?
"The only purpose for which power can be rightfully exercised over any member of a civilized community, against his will, is to prevent harm to others. His own good is not sufficient warrant." --John Stuart Mill

"The rule of law is to be preferred to the rule of man. We do not permit a man to rule but the law because a man rules in his own interest, and becomes a tyrant but the function of a rule is to be the guardian of the justice and, if justice then of equality." --Aristotle

A lot of the apps are basically web browsers that are redesigned to be easier to use with the iPhone. For example, take the free Ebay app. you can still visit and use ebay via safari, but the iPhone app is just easier... Same for the paypal app.

I wish there was an extremeskins app.... Even my local paper has a site that has been optimized for the iPhone.
    Another post down the drain...

    CBS Radio
Boxed In (best game strategy game on iPhone)
    Sheep Launcher
eBay app (great if you sell a lot)
    USA Today App
Falling Balls (fun game to pass the time)
Pocket Tanks (great game to play with a buddy)

All of these app's are free and I highly recomend them.

Sportacular is a great app. Better than ESPN sportscenter.

    Go here: http://blackra1n.com/

Add Hackulous as a source to Cydia once jailbroken.

    Install Appulous.

    Every app free.

    Merry Christmas!

I agree with this. My only wish is that there were more than 50 levels. The replay ability is pretty much gone now that I've beaten it.

Another great game is Hero of Sparta, think God Of War for the iPhone. It's pretty effing awesome.

An app that 007 would approve of

The iPhone App Store is one of the most-loved features for Apple's blockbuster wireless phone and entertainment device, made even more popular by the ease at which individuals and companies can develop — and sell — their own apps.

A slew of new programs have recently been announced, including a free app from NASA that allows the user to track the countdown, launch, and status of space shuttle missions in real time. That's all well and good, but researchers at Germany's Freie Universitat of Berlin may have just one-upped the space agency with an app it cannot beat.

Do you remember the scene from the James Bond movie "Tomorrow Never Dies," when 007 escaped from almost certain death by using a remote-controlled BMW? Researchers at the German university announced last week the release of an iPhone app that allows you to remotely control your car, operating the steering, brakes, and accelerator while watching the view out of your windscreen on your iPhone screen.
