Default So, all the teams we have played were winless when...

    we played them.

yea yea, football trivia at it's best.

the next piece trivia to add to the list will be that every team the Skins play this year will be coming off a loss.

    Philly coming off a loss.

Atlanta will be coming off a loss to New Orleans

Denver will be coming off a loss to Pitt
(although this will be a close one)

Dallas will be coming off a loss to Green Bay

Philly will be coming off a loss to Chicago
    (will also be close)

New Orleans will be coming off a loss to New England

Oakland will be coming off a loss to Pitt

Giants will be coming off a loss to Philly
(giants will have div wrapped up but philly will be playing for playoff lives)

Dallas will be coming off a loss to New Orleans

the only exception will be San Diego beating Tenn to end the season.

ok. ok. i am bored and games like yesterday make me think up dumb things like this.

Speaking of Tennessee, wouldn't it be funny if Washington gave them their sole victory at the end of the season. Maybe ironic is the better word.
Pearlman writes that Michael Irvin, incensed that tackle Everett McIver, in mid-haircut, would not leave a barber chair at training camp in 1998 so Irvin could get his haircut first, stabbed McIver in the neck. McIver was rushed to the hospital and survived, but not without losing a lot of blood. Irvin's silence on the charge has been deafening. I asked a Cowboy who played on that team if the story was true. "Absolutely,'' the Cowboy said. "I'm surprised it was kept quiet over the years.''

The other historical record is we are the first team to lose to 4 winless teams in a season.

Calling New York a winless team, while technically true since they hadn't played a game yet, is stupid.

If the Redskins can't beat winless teams, what's going to happen when the Redskins play elite NFL teams. They are going to get crushed.

    Fine.

If it makes you feel better, then take that one out of the list.

The fact remains, we had the easiest NFL schedule in the history of the NFL to start the season, and we ended up 2-4. The fact still is that we are the only team to face winless teams in weeks 2 through 6.

The fact remains that we have lost to more winless teams than any other team in NFL history.

If you don't want to count the first game because everyone is 0-0, then fine, take it out if it makes you feel better. The fact remains that this is historic futility either way.

we are playing for the #1 pick ... as soon as we let the Raiders kill us we should be golden. NOT that I hope that happens mind you, it's just the way we have been playing.
