Liverpool Footbal Club means more to the city of liverpool than most sports clubs anywhere.

This is the picture of the Liverpool Kop. Its means soo much to the supporters of the club and to the players and to anyone associated with football. The inspiration drawn from it is unmatched.
Its provided moments like this:

Liverpool, a once dominant club in all of europe in the 80s, had not been to a European Championship in 20 years. They were enormous underdogs in this match against A.C. Milan. The first half was a nightmare, they were behind 3-0 at halftime. Then the liverpool fans showed their support like no other fans had. They sung the team anthem, not for inspiration more to show the players that they were immensely proud of what they were able to achieve this season. What followed has become the greatest Cup final in soccer history.
Is this freaking real???????????????????????? Holy crap if it is...
No way right?

wow just wow...thanks all for posting.
This photo reminds me of one I took at the Inauguration. It's not nearly as good of a photo, so I will do some describing.
These two african-american women had lost their friends in the crowd before the ceremony started. They spent a while looking, but in a sea of that many people they had no luck - they couldn't even get cell reception to call![]()
Anyways, as it went that day, everyone around was very nice and hospitable. We gave them some of our snacks and hand warmers and talked to them before everything started.
When Obama was being sworn in they were in tears and just started leaning on each other (partially for warmth, but partially because they were overwhelmed with the emotion of the moment).
I just spent the last hour looking through this thread; some unbelievable photos, some fake, some made me cry, some made me laugh, some made me say WTF. I'd like to contribute
There are a few things that mean alot to me:
9/11: I'll never forget.
This is one gets me: JFK Jr.:
And as a Vet, I can't describe my feelings:
But the most unbelievable picture to me -- a WWII Veteran with a Gulf War vet:

I forgot this one:
A soldier of war salutes President Reagan's casket:

"As long as there are guns, the individual that wants a gun for a crime is going to have one and going to get it.
The only person who’s going to be penalized and have difficulty is the law-abiding citizen,
who then cannot have [it] if he wants protection -- the protection of a weapon in his home."
Ronald Reagan
In fact, no one can enter a strong man's house and carry off his possessions unless he first ties up the strong man.
Then he can rob his house.
Mark 3:27
