Default Nfl.com: Mike Mayock releases his first list of top prospects at each position.

    notables:

He likes Sam Bradford over Jimmy Clausen... although he's admitted in another interview that he still needs to watch more tape on bradford.

He likes Gerald Mccoy over Suh, which is quite the shocker... Possibly because he considers mccoy's pass rushing ability to be superior.

His list of tackles is pretty standard except for Vladimir Ducassse out of Umass. I've been hearing more about Charles Brown and Jason Fox, have not heard of Duccasse till now.

It is interesting that he hasn't listed Bruce Campbell in the top 5 for tackles, when he's been considered by most others as a top 3 prospect. Perhaps Mayock just considers him a workout warrrior, a physical prospect whose skills don't translate onto the field?

Interesting that he prefers Bradford over Clausen. I was shocked that he had McCoy over Suh.

I don't follow college football that closely, but has Suh been a consistent performer or did he just come on towards the end of the year?

Sometimes, I feel like these guys kind of peak at the right time (JaMarcus Russel being a good example) and afterwards, every prognosticator just kind of puts these guys as a default top 3.

Perhaps Suh's body of work isn't as good as Gerald McCoy.

How is Brian Price not in his top 5 DTs!? No LaFell for WR?

It's not totally out there. At the beginning of the year, almost everyone had McCoy over Suh.

A lot of people are worried about Bruce's injuries. His ranking in different scouting reports range from top 5 to 3rd rounder. He seems to be the Wild Card in the Draft. Somebody that everyone can have whenever they pick.

True but Suh just dominates offensive lines. Look at the BCS Championship he was always in the backfield.

Oh what I would give for one of them to still be there at #4

The Texas game certainly put him in the national spotlight, but Suh was first-team All-Big 12 in 2008.

We don't need them the only reason I'd want them there would be so that we could trade down a couple of spots and pick up a 1st and a possible future 1st or another 2nd. I would want to take one of them with the way our O-Line and QB situation is.

Im not shocked either - but I am biased... Just glad to see that he is high on this list. Would love to see him fall to the skins in the 2nd round.

He seems like a monster. I haven't seen much of him but does he play LG or RG?

Having seen his predictions and analysis of prospects over the past few drafts, Mayock is the person I trust more than anyone regarding the draft. Keep in mind this is his first listing of prospects, which are bound to change once we get through the combine, pro days, and individual workouts.
