Are we getting new jerseys? (see post 277) (MET)

Isn't there a deadline for announcing uniform changes? I know you can't just surprise everyone with new threads on the first day of the season. Maybe you have to have them in time for the draft?

I know in the NHL, they use the draft as the time to show off new jerseys. Drafted players hold up the 'sweater' of their new team, and teams use the occasion to show off their new jerseys.

I think I remember the Lions coming out with their new unis sometime before the draft last year.

Don't forget the Raiders. They may be a completely dysfunctional franchise, but they have some of the coolest unis in all of sports. A classic, bad-ass look that should never be changed.

Green Bay, Cleveland, Indy and Chicago have stayed the same, too, no?

Pretty much...Cleveland added the very ugly Brown pants recently, but other than that, pretty much the same.

The Redskins IMO, should do what both NY teams have done, and go "back to the future"....The 80's / 90's Jets & Giants uniforms were terrible. They both recently went to a permanent throwback look, and it's much better.

No new jerseys in the offing as far as I've heard. Not saying that it couldn't happen, but I've asked around and people have convincingly told me that it's not happening.

And I'm pretty sure that what the original poster heard on Redskins Nation was just Larry responding to a fan question about the POSSIBILITY of new jerseys.
