the 75th anniversary style was terrible. Personally I've hated every retro style uniform the Skins have tried.

I like all of the old 70s and 80s unis, but those 75th anni unis are the absolute best unis ever!

By the way, I wanted to add, that the socks should match the jersey for whatever combination is wore, so if the jersey is white then wear the white socks to show separation at the knee from the pants to socks, otherwise they end up looking like leotards.
It applies except for if we ever wear the burgundy on burgundy, then the socks should still be the white socks to give the separation at the knee, unless they want to look like ballerinas in leotards.
So actually the rule should be the socks should be opposite of the pants.

No new jerseys in the offing as far as I've heard. Not saying that it couldn't happen, but I've asked around and people have convincingly told me that it's not happening.

And I'm pretty sure that what the original poster heard on Redskins Nation was just Larry responding to a fan question about the POSSIBILITY of new jerseys.

Good news IMO. I like the jerseys the way they are.

i dunno why people like the spear.. we have nothing to do with it.. its so famous at FSU because they spear at midfield before every game

But, FSU had to get permission to use the Spear helmet from the Redskins, they got the design from the Redskins and slightly altered it by curving the feather and giving the Arrowhead chipping marks in it.

FSU's "spear" helmets were introduced in 1976, Bobby Bowden's first year as head coach at the school.

the only reason we have that tradition is because we followed everyone else's lead. It looks bland compared to what's available these days.
