Crazy part is I don't have one single friend thats a member of ES, but I have been trying to get them to join. There are still so many who just don't know how awesome the site is!

    What a great read.

I'm proud to be a part of a board with such a great history. Even though I have never gotten along with Die Hard, I do appreciate all of the work that he has put into this.

It also makes me miss more frequent posts from Art, Tarhog, Henry, and Pete.

fantastic post!! i remember the pre-merger days, as i was a reader long before finally registering. quite a ride for this site.

hands down the best redskins site on the internet.

thanks to mark the homer for the excellent write-up, and the rest of the ES staff for continued dedication and hard work.

That was really cool to read. You forgot to mention that the merger ended the largely heralded Daily Babe thread.

Very impressed with the overall time and effort put into something like this.

    Again, much appreciation and delight.

Wow, that was a great read and I still remember joining in June, 2003. However I had been reading the forum during Spurriers initial season in 2002. I'm stuck for life and closing in on 5000 posts.

Thanks guys. I appreciate the countless hours I have wasted on here. It has truly been enjoyable.

It's also been great to meet a few of y'all at games and such. It's nice to know, I have made real life friends through this site and learned a ton from it as well.

I was on the old board as well, but i don't see a mention of Redskins HQ unless I missed it. The good ole days when the Funky Bunch and such were regular posters.

Why did the game/player database have to go?

Wow that is a cool link!

Guys - check Dan's link. Once the link comes up, click on one of the zillion other links going back ten years and you get a snap shot of what the board looked like back in the day...

I am pretty sure that thread ended before my time - and from what I heard, it got ended the same reason a ton of other babe threads get ended: People abuse it and it gets to be a PITA to moderate...

There's tons of little details I am missing and that I'll add - the reason I put this up today is because it's been in the planning stages for SIX YEARS -

I believe it's because the Redskins version of vB didn't have the custom hack written by Blade that included the game/player database.
