However, he was allowed to move anyway to an available pair of seats one section closer to mid-field in the LL. He purchased these on the spot, in person, with his credit card.
I guess it is not that surprising that the Redskins would give him new seats if his were already taken. What is surprising is that his seats were already taken, but better ones were not. Hard to understand how his seats could be taken, presumably due to an auto-upgrade, but better seats were still available. Either the auto-upgrade program is not working as promised or something odd happened where there was a late cancellation for those seats or something...hard to know which.

By default won't the club seat people in the endzone sections be upgraded to make way for the party decks? Is everyone going to get pushed to midfield and take up all the unsold club seats? It is possible there will be few club seats unsold this year.

Those questions remain unanswered but one would have to assume that new club seats will be assigned to those forced to relocate. Not unlike the renderings for the party decks, the public has been kept in the dark for several months.

Club seats are always available for new STHs and there is no wait. A sign that there are unsold (or unassigned) seats in the 300 level every year.

But with the endzones gone there are probably only 75% of the club seats they used to have.

    Yes, good points.

Also, maybe with the seats in the new section, a bunch of people didn't renew and there weren't many people behind them that enrolled in the auto-upgrade program...so nobody had dibs on these seats. That's at least possible, right?
If they're not called the Redskins
    We'll love 'em the same.

My seats are in the Club and were on the visitor's side. I called at the end of the season last year to see if we could move down and over one section. I was told that I'd have to pay market price to do so. No dice.

Fast forward to a week after the HD video board announcement. I call and get moved over one section and down 12 rows with the same contract, which was 50% off normal prices with the 6% escalator. I love the new video boards!

    I was in 317, row 19, seats 5,6 & 7. I'm now in 339, row 7, seats 1,2,& 3.

I'm with you on the section move, But I think I would have wanted to keep that row 19. Being undercover can be GREAT.

Yeah, but unless it was a night game, I was burning up! The Saints game last year had to have been in the upper 80's in my seats. That was the coolest it was for any day game all season long. I'll just wear a poncho if it rains.

He should've been behind me. I'm in the LL and renewed by March 1 AND selected auto-upgrade. IMO, he leapfrogged me.

Not surprising. Those who don't follow the rules seem to be rewarded more often than they should.

Saw you were asking for 1 section over move, just noticed they moved you from visitors to home side. I'd have taken that too, but still would have tried for row 18 or 19 on the home side.

I got the upgrade call!!! Woo Hoo!!! I be moving downtown.

As a few others I was advised I would be upgraded by the auto upgrade program and was asked if I would like to purchase two additional seats. I declined the seats. I was advised that the upgrades would be done by seniority.

I am in row 5 of section 424 on the visitors side; about the goal line.

    Watch out Jefferson....I'm moving downtown!

Just to clarify ...moving downtown means I am moving from the upper level to the lower level; probably in the end zone or corner.

"That's not enough rings," Griffin said. "We've got to get more."
"Alright, Sammy," Griffin said. "I'll see you later."

So are you going LL or did they move you to 424 r5? Surprising they are not giving you your locations if they move you to the LL.

Okay, so I just called the TO to check on my upgrade (seats in 117) status. I'm trying to get closer to my 122's.

I was told to expect LL upgrades completed by late May/early June and that all that paid on time would be upgraded first. She did say expect notification anytime between now and that time period. She also said that they had "shut down" LL seats where people hadn't paid by now. However, those LL STH's who paid late would be in the second wave of upgrades.

Take it for what it's worth.
I believe in the Redskins, therefore I'm the enemy.

Don't you hate sitting on the side with all those added seats?? I sat over there for awhile and going to the bathroom or concessions was a pain like I never experienced in the upper level.
