I think we have a good chance of seeing both the Capitals and Nationals competing to win a championship in the coming years. That would be a lot of fun to have these teams being legit contenders every year. If the Redskins could jump on board DC would be a happening sports town.
I'm not a big baseball fan, but I just became a Nats fan.
You guys drafted my guy, Khayyan Norfork. He's a beast. Known him since the 4th grade, and we joked each other every day until we graduated and still till this day. Awesome guy who busts his ass.
Hope he makes the team one day.

FREE THE HOG!!!
J-Z pitching another gem tonight.
"In 2012 the Redskins are gonna be the NFC East champions, and that starts right f–king today.” Kyle Shanahan, 1/1/12
Ramos is one hell of a catcher. What a great throw out at 2nd!
Pitchers saving the day for a piss poor offense once again. I can't wait to see this team with better hitting.
Storen closes things out with a perfect inning
pitching has been way better than what could've been predicted
DC Sports: The Curse Is Real
Thank you Jeebus! There was no way I was staying up until 2:30 am two nights in a row. Go Nats!!
Still not hitting great but I do like seeing us win a game that didn't involve relying on a home run to be hit.
There's no reason for you to troll.
I have no doubt in my mind that the Nats will contend before your Pirates will.

Nationals vs. Giants: Jordan Zimmermann gets win with latest impressive start
The Washington Nationals added 17 college pitchers through the draft over the past two days, and with time and luck one or two of them, they hope, might turn into the man they sent to the mound Tuesday night. They chose Jordan Zimmermann four years ago, and today he is not only the best they have, but on the precipice of joining the best in baseball.
Zimmermann, even after Tommy John surgery, represents how the Nationals believe they will extricate themselves from seasons of losing: a power arm plucked from college, brought along quickly and slotted into the front of their rotation. He is part of the future, certainly, but as he showed Tuesday night by mowing down the San Francisco Giants in a 2-1 victory, his present is dazzling enough.
http://www.washingtonpost.com/sports...fLH_story.htmlMcLaren has coached on or managed teams with great pitchers, such as Roger Clemens and Randy Johnson and Felix Hernandez. He came to the park when they pitched and knew his team would win.
“I definitely feel that about Jordan,” McLaren said. “I just feel like he’s going to give us an opportunity to win. His stuff is as good as anybody in the league. I hear scouts say, ‘Oh my, God, we’d like to get him.’ I say, ‘Yeah, good luck.’ ”
Tough to say that when the Caps are annual contenders already. I think you're right the Nats will bring home a championship, but I think the Caps are going to get one too. Toss up who wins it first for me. The Nats are a future powerhouse though after the absurdly good drafting they've pulled off the past three years. Even our significantly bad luck (injuries to Zimmermann and Strasburg) has turned into temporary setbacks on our steady climb upwards.
I think the DC Basketball team will get at least one ring too while John Wall is the PG be it as the Wizards or the Bullets. It's not going to happen all that soon though because the foundation isn't complete, there's a lockout, and the team has a ton of growing up to do. They're about 4 or 5 years from entering the first years of their prime.
I don't know if the Redskins will win another Superbowl in my lifetime. I don't think it will happen while Dan Snyder is the owner.
"John Wall will never be as good as Kyrie Irving was in his first week in the NBA" - David Falk, published February 14, 2013.
