Just got this email. I could have saved paying for preseason and still received my season tickets back. Plus, I would have gotten one free college game. Anyone still believe that FedEx is sold out? Still not going to re-up though.

    Dear XXXXXXX
Don’t miss your last chance to get Washington Redskins season tickets that include the Home Opener against the arch rival Dallas Cowboys! Tickets start at just $372.00 for the entire season and include exciting games against Peyton and Eli Manning, Brett Favre, and also the return of the Philadelphia Eagles on Monday Night Football to face Donovan McNabb.
As an extra gift, reserve your seats by September 3rd, and receive complimentary tickets to your choice of the Virginia Tech vs. Boise State or Penn State vs. Indiana big-time college football matchups at FedExField!
To pick your seat location today, call the Redskins Ticket Office at 301-276-6033. Or to place your deposit of $100 per seat visit www.redskins.com/seasontickets. You will need the following account information:
    [REDACTED]
Boycott Snyder. Don't buy concessions or merchandise.

    Thanks for the update Hieverybody.

The ST renewal offer in late August was predictable, but the free college FB tickets surprise even me.

I predict that by this weekend, the secondary market will offer some great deals on quality seats for the VT/Boise game. Given the amount of promo the TO has been doing for this event tells me they have a lot of unsold seats. Throw in the fact that it will be a week night before the first day of school, I think a lot of people will bail last minute; freeing up many good seats on Craigslist. It was the same deal w/ U2 at FedEx last year.

I signed up for Dallas tickets form the email they sent out right before tickets became available to some. Got a call yesterday thanking me, but there were none available. However if I would like season tix for the next 8 games they could accomodate me.

More and more shannanigans out of the TO.

True, but I don't see where any customers have been wronged this time.

I'd like to see someone take the TO up on their GA ST offer; just to see what kind of seats they could bargain into.

midfield uppers? lowers? sideline lowers? etc.

Looks like 10+ years of mediocre/bad teams combined with a dreadful economy has made season ticket sales very difficult. Would love to know how many seats are truly left.

Based on the cost offered for 7 games, I would guess all they have left are upper level end zone seats. But if the 100,000 person wait list was accurate, they should have been able to sell out the Season tickets for the year.

Hey everyone I JUST became a season ticket holder today. My seats aren't great but who cares I'm in Section 423. Does ExtremeSkins still have a tailgate?

What row are you in? Did they offer other sections/rows? Did the TO give you any idea how many season tickets were left? Did you ask about lower level tickets?

    Inquiring minds want to know.....

I presume you took advantage of the recent offer for 7 season tickets?

Oh... and of course, congratulations ....you're now one of the 80,000 plus fans who get to see the Skins live in person! You'll have a blast!

Interesting piece in USAToday about the game viewing experience around the NFL.

    http://www.usatoday.com/sports/footb...ing-room_N.htm

Aside from the national economy which is obvious, league officials acknowledge the home viewing experience is taking it's toll at the turnstiles with all of the new media technology available to fans. Many owners are taking steps to improve in-game choices for patrons by offering upgrades in media tech, etc.

    Quote from Danny:

"There's nothing like being there," Redskins owner Daniel Snyder says. "The experience of being with 90,000 (other fans) is still the best."

Read the article to take Danny's words in the proper context.

Hey how long does it usually take from the time you purchase tickets until you receive them and/or your account is setup online?

    Thanks

My mom works for Verizon, and she said she got an email today announcing some partnership between verizon and the redskins and offering redskins season tickets to verizon employees for like $594 for the 2010 season. They also have lower rows upper level sideline as well but I forget the price. I'll try and get a copy of the email and post.

Wouldnt say great deal (it's regular STH prices) but it is far better than having to pay for 2 preseason games. I can think of a few Season ticket holders that are pretty PO'd after reading this.

You also do not have to pay the $100 activation fee per ticket
