Start #2 tomorrow night. MASN at 10:30pm on tape delay again. The dudes breaking ball is sick....it looks like something out of a video game.
Stras - 6 IP, 0 H, 1 BB, O Runs.
2 AAA starts down and 3 to go.
I think if he faces the Pirates in his ML Debut he may throw a no hitter, LOL...Pittsburgh's offense is bad.
I can see a world series in our near future!

I cant wait till this guy comes aboard!
Taylor Jacobs- King of Practice
Start #3 (5/19) - 6 1/3 IP, 3 H, 0 R, 2 W, 9 K
This guy is incredible. I might have to get a Strasburg sig.
FYI, Strasburg's 4th AAA start is being televised LIVE tonight on MASN since there are no Nationals/w0's games on tv.
Im pumped!!!!!!!!!!
Guy allowed runs today, but only 1 earned. He's human, but he's still a heck of a pitcher.
Looks like he will be making his last AAA start this Saturday then up to the show for a likely start either @ the Padres or home vs the Reds.
For the record, I want Strasburg to live up to the hype and be the next Nolan Ryan / Roger Clemens but I watched his 4th AAA start last night and I didn't see any emotion or killer instinct like I was expecting. I know he got knocked around a bit more in this start than others and he may just be passing time until he hits the majors but I wanted to see a nasty side / aggressive nature to his pitching that clearly wasnt there last night. Most of the big time prospects show a killer instinct, almost insulted that someone would reach base on them, Ryan was that way, Clemens was too although didn't fare nearly as well as Stras did in the minors. Stras almost seems to sedate out there, in his press conferences too he still seems like a deer in the headlights instead of a guy with some swagger.
I am just hoping the Nats pitching staff is capable of mentoring this kid into not accepting anything but success and teaching him the tools he needs to become a regular cy young candidate. I know there is lot of pressure on him but his stuff is clearly the best we have seen in the past 10 years and I think the majority of pressure is going to fall on the Nats pitching coaches to keep him from falling short of expectations.
Trust me, I've seen this guy pitch and Stras has a killer instinct. I've seen him highly pumped and when he is, he's throwing that 100+ mph heater but the best part is that he'll throw it with great accuracy. Badkarma, you are trying really hard to find a fault on him... and I don't blame you with him being a 1st pick in the draft and all but trust me, he's nasty when it counts.
He's pitching in ****ing AAA. Imagine playing pick up basketball with a bunch of pre schoolers. How much killer instinct are you going to have?

You may be right, I am just saying what i saw the other night bothered me, he looked rather ordinary and lackadaisical in his approach to that AAA lineup. I love his stuff but the mental part of the game doesn't seem to be all there right now and I am hoping that its just he is bored of AAA and ready for the big time.
