There is no greater feeling than being able to move a man from point A to point B against his will. I tried it, I liked it, and I was playing offensive line. --Russ Grimm

What are the odds of getting a little HTTR guild together, nothing serious, we seem to be spread across various realms...maybe pick one and all roll some alts?
Lets make it happen

My question is, how long does it take to accumulate 100,000 gold points?

Depending on how much effort you put into it, many people take advantage of the Auction Houses in game; they play into and monitor it much like rising and falling stocks.
Assuming your finally a the max level cap, you earn gold for doing daily quests...you have a max of 25 you can do per day at around 13.5 gold gained per quest. It's quite easy to earn a couple hundred a day
It all depends on how much effort you want to put towards monotonous farming, but even if you busted ass every day...100K is still quite an achievement for a guild...let alone a single person

this is true ... there's just not a lot blizzard can do about people that let their computers get infected with trojans.
well, 100,000 gold is a lot closer to $100 in value than $10,000. i've got 100k gold myself (not bought -- i made it myself sellign gems and killing monsters). blizzard is smart. they control inflation very tightly and intentionally build in a very large inflation rate. this is in order to make it harder to make a real-world profit from gold selling. (they discourage it and will ban you if they catch you doing it but it is still quite widespread). If he had 100,000 gold that has a street value of around $10,000 assuming they are sellling it for $10/1K which is what they are spamming in the game. And that is a payday for them.
yes indeed. mostly chinese sweatshop workers "farming" gold, and selling it. it's not good money. if you tried it yourself you could probably make like $1-$2 an hour, and it's mind numbingly tedious. So pretend gold in a game has actual street value?

you dorks ever get outside or anything? or is it "game hard or go home" 24/7?
The wife and I both play it. Pretty casually nowadays. We both have a couple level 80s. Nothing crazy raid wise, just like getting on and having some fun.
I go a month or so at a time without playing, and usually when I get a heavy play stint going it is only a couple hours in the evening after the kiddos are in bed. Working on leveling a Pally atm. We play on Gorefiend / Horde.
