To post a story about the MMORPG to real life cash, when I was in my prime with my cleric on EverQuest, I could have easily sold him for $3,000-$4,000 dollars.

if you didn't find it challenging then you either weren't attempting the hard stuff or you were being carried by others. did you beat the lich king on heroic mode?

The first time I played I was an officer/raid leader in a high end guild that came to WoW from Everquest (entire guild jumped over in closed beta because we all got keys). In comparison to Everquest, WoW high end content was much more accessable and beatable for the average player. It still required a time sink but the fact that it was instanced and anyone could try and try took away from the accomplishment I thought.

The second time I played I was just a casual member of the guild but I was still in the top 2-3 for raid dps (Only mention it that way as to imply I wasn't simply an undergeared moocher) and while I didn't lead the guild I was obviously actively involved in the fights. The strategy and coordination for 90% of ICC is so simplistic and easy that it was pretty boring compared to Everquest.

I'm not trying to diminish anyone's accomplishments in game, just giving my personal opinion of how I saw the game. I'm not the type to make fun of people for spending X amount of hours in the game and all that. If people enjoy it and still have a healthy life, more power to 'em.

Also, didn't bother trying heroic lich king, got bored so fast after beating him on normal that I moved on to a different game.

Man, I've had some bad luck... As I've said, I was off for 9 months... So I was doing my randoms for frost badges.. 2 nights ago I got Forge of Souls or whatever... Today I got Pit of Saron... BTW that dungeon sucks... But did get to need on something...
