ZA/ZG was brought out to bring a mid-tier ilevel instances to people who needed an extra boost in current raiding content. Of course they aren't releasing content fast enough when the mindset is HURRY HURRY HURRY. Gear is too easy to obtain now as opposed to Vanilla where you could be in MC for months at a time, and not have full tier 1 gear. There isn't a balance between the 2 that has been struck yet. Heroics have become a joke, yet again, now that people are geared out. No one wants to take the time to CC, or listen to strategy on a boss. It is the PLOW THROUGH FPS mentality that hurts the game.

I should also add, that if you are not happy with the content of WoW then NO MMO will ever satisfy you. Blizzard is the best at these types of games, and are far above the quality and quantity of content available to players.
    Where's the beef?

I think we're coming from two different viewpoints, so doubtful we'll agree. And I have played Blizzard games from SC/BW, D1+2, and WoW (though not the previous Warcraft franchise), I think they are the best in the industry, to argue that is silly (although SW:TOR has high expectations), but to offer that as they are perfect and couldn't improve things isn't fair. They've said themselves that there are several things they'd like to do better, included in such is more content released in smaller intervals.

I never said they were perfect, I said they were the best at this genre. My point is similar to their point in that people are chewing up the content too quickly, or are flat out bored with the game. Releasing content faster won't solve either of those problems. There are people who simply play the game for what they perceive it was, and not what it is.

I know people who play the game, and complain about every single facet of it, only to keep shilling out $15 a month. Why? If you don't like it, don't pay for it. Move onto something else.

On a different note, if you are interested in playing the original Warcraft RTS games, and you don't have a computer laying around that has Windows 95 or 98 on it, there are legal and free ways to play them. I can post the information when I get home tonight if you would like. I am currently working my way through Warcraft 2 right now, and it is really enjoyable, plus you get backstory.

I got a new Dell Inspiron 560 Dual Core Pentium 3.2 Ghz, 4 gig ram, 500 gig hard drive, I'll be adding a 1 ter external soon. It's not the best system out there, but it certainly does what I want it to do.

Should be alright. Not great but not that good. WoW is more of a Processesor and Ram game over Video Card

Yeah, my laptop had 2gig ram and handled LK pretty well but Cata killed it, it was hard running 5 man dungeons when the mobs got larger. I love the 21.5" screen I have now though! w00t!!!

ZG and ZA were nice nostalgia moments, but that lasted about a week. They're just not fun to PuG.

Down to playing one or two hours a week, if that. Had a ton of fun with this game while it lasted, but alas, boredom reigns every time I log in. Arena, which used to suck all my time, has become a mess. Battlegrounds are old and tired. Hardmode raiding left me feeling like a zombie at the end of each lockout period.

    Lock/Mage/Warrior @ 85, Shaman/Rogue/Priest @ 80s, Hunter/Paladin @ 72... anyone WTB? lol

Trying Rift now, but so far it's underwhelming. Really looking forward to Diablo III.

Whoever said to lower graphics or increase FPS, that helped. Reached about 9000 / 8k. About 2 k more than usual.

Going to do more testing and see if it works.

I'm not sure how you're playing your shadow priest or how much you've read up on it, but http://elitistjerks.com/f77/

Try checking out the shadow priest thread on there, might find some of that useful.

I have a Hunter (ilvl 364) and raid with a shadow priest who keeps up with me on quite a few fights. They're capable of very good dps.

ElitistJerks isn't interested in helping you unless you are raiding, which I'm not ready to do yet. This is all for heroic instances.

The issue is moot, though, because I lowered my graphics and gameplay was a lot smoother. I think it's fair now. I was too obsessed int he past with good graphics at expense of FPS. The computer here can't handle good, at least with a decent FPS.

New Winged Guardian mount is out in the store. It looks really awesome, much better than the rainbow pony. As far as I know it is the same deal as the pony, BOA sent to all new toons on your account once purchased. Mathematically it is worth around 15,000G ingame, and is a land and flying mount. Worth it if you have many alts, not so much for one toon.

More information about 4.2 is coming out. Firelands dailies and raid look interesting, but since I prefer leveling characters I think it isn't for me.

I installed the Rift 7 day trial a few days ago, and boy is it underwhelming. Rift is facing the battle all MMO's since WOW's ascendence have. WOW is such a highly polished game with such an easy story to get into that it is going to be tough for any new MMO to dethrone them. The only enemy Blizzard has right now is itself.

I found the soul system confusing, and really worry about class balance issues with so many choices. What do you guys think?
