Default The who/what/when of a great musician singing to you

Last night I was a bit down/upset about some stuff. I had pandora playing on my phone and "My Skin" by Natalie Merchant came on (yes, I like Natalie Merchant; so sue me) and it was really calming and reminded me of someone (I honestly can't remember who) that said in an interview that he was absolutely terrified of elevators and was in one with Pavaratti and, while he was pretty much beside himself with panic, Pavaratti sang to him to help him relax and get through it.

So it made me think about how it would be for Natalie Merchant just being there singing to me at the time: pretty much great.

So my question now is: if you could have any musician who you hold dear sing/play for you in a specific time of your life who would it be, what was the time in your life, and why?

I saw Stevie Ray Vaughan play live (twice) and will confess to it being a truely religous experience... Does that count?
