Yes but who is out there worth drafting as a center? The kid from usc? Flordia states center? And the kid from penn state are the only
Ones worth while. The flordia kid is having a hard time with snaps he went from guard to center and is struggling.

Also thanks for the heads up chicken fried.

Well, Green is playing out of his mind now. One td that was just a phenomenal leaping one-handed grab, and another td where he didn't do anything fancy, just outran the corner on him and made a nice over-the-shoulder grab. Missed his running plays but he tore it up on the ground as well. Well, he probably ends up going before we pick.

And would love a center upgrade. We've been begging for it for years. Who knows, perhaps Eric Cook develops into a decent option to start for us next year, but I wouldn't hold out for that to happen.

I'm not so sure NT is as dire a need as people are making it out to be. When offenses want to attack us, they run right, which would be towards Carriker and Orakpo. We're currently in the top 10 for limiting ypc and getting sacks. We are, however, the 2nd worst defense in limiting top receivers, which points to problems with our zone coverage, and our olb's make so few tackles, which points to having trouble containing outside runs either by our DE not keeping blockers off our olb's, and/or our olb's not shedding blockers to make tackles. We can't expect our NT to not move an inch with 2 300 pound linemen going at him, as long as he isn't pushed 5 yards down field and as long as he's keeping both blockers attention for a good length, then he isn't doing a bad job.

He'll be a top 3 pick. Bradford to Green could be something we hear for the next decade...

No problem. For all we know Chris Cooley goes down and then Fred Davis goes down. Haha that would be something, but then we would need a TE. Without us posting our scouting reports of TEs as well as the other positions, our scouting department would have nowhere else to turn for advice haha.

    Thanks Soup!

Absolutely scary thought too Green and Bradford will light up D's if Green can pan out like many think he will. Right now I've been out all day so I've missed all the games for the day but I'll try to watch some film from today and give some feedback on what I see

I don't see that being all that threatening. Yeah they beat us, but they have a lot of holes to fill before they have a semblance of competitiveness.

Very true CF but St.Louis is starting to get some very nice pieces to their team with Bradford, Jason Smith, Roger Saffold all being young guys they need to do well this season and in the future. They just need a few more pieces before they are back to prominence

LOL, relax. I'm not talking about the Rams as a rival for years to come, I'm just talking about a team likely to finish with a top 5 pick, who has a huge hole at WR. "We" as in football fans, could wind up hearing Bradford to Green as it would be a potent duo on offense. I'd be more interested in that pair from a fantasy perspective, not a Super Bowl contender perspective.

No, I understood what you were saying. My point was that they still have some OL problems as well as finding a RB who can last 16 games. My thought was that most of the time when you hear Brady to Moss, Manning to Harrison, Montana to Rice, or Campbell to Heyward-Bey, you think of a great supporting cast to allow that to happen. It's definitely possible, but things just never seem to work out in the NFL like you think they will or think they should. Maybe you're right. We'll have to wait and see, and I think it will be very interesting.

Round 2 . If Greg Romeus falls due to his injury this round ...take him, if not then Jerrel Powe NT 6-2 330 lbs Ole Miss...a true NT and one we need badly
Round 3. Toss up between another OLB, a RB (Mikel Leshoure, 6-1 225lbs...kid is a beast RB on an illinois team that sucks or Shane Vereen, 5-10 198lbs RB, California , havent seen him but heard he is good) or a quality 3-4 DE(Cameron Heyward 6-6 280 lbs Ohio state).......if we are gonna get the 3-4 rolling we better get the OLB's and D line we need for this D......WR I believe we can target in FA.
This is definitely a dream scenario for you because I'm pretty sure at the end of the season the 3rd rounder will be Philthy's property for giving us Donovan McNabb.

Well, with the way Rams are playing, they might not have a top 5 pick this year. Madness. They've been in every game so far and have det x 2, sd, sf x 2, sea x 2, tampa bay, carolina, kc, and arizona left on their schedule. All winnable games for them. I think they'll actually be 6-10 this year. Clausen to Green looks more likely.

They're set at 3 of the most important positions for a young QB and offense(actually any offense): book end OTs, and Center.
If you have a solid OL it gives the skill position players a chance to do something.
I'm still jealous/envious that we didn't pursue Brown when we had the chance.
