    Almost 2 years ago I made a Internet bet with Thiebear....
    See this thread. Page 4 is where I propose the bet, Page 6 is where Thiebear accepts.

    Now here's the rub. A bet was made 2 years ago between two random Internet dudes. People that have never met, and could easily simply ignore the other person for the rest of their lives.

    Not only has Thiebear now paid up in full...he went out of his way to do so! Took the time to drive not a short distance in order to get the tickets to me... the tickets to the only game I would be able to attend that would fill the bet.

    I try telling someone how I got the tickets to the game...and when you say it outloud "Well - 2 years ago I bet some random guy on the internet for the tickets. I won and he paid up" You realize how far fetch that was!

    Thanks Thiebear for being stand up about it! Any other bet you just let me know!

    I wouldn't have expected any less. I have trouble getting his take now and then but thiebear has always come across as a sincere and thoughtful person.

    Stand up people abound on this board and I've had my very pleasant experience too with someone I've never met, but who did me a big solid. I consider gbear my buddy for a variety of reasons but sending me one of the 21 towels they gave out, unsolicited and out of the blue, a couple years ago was very, very cool.
