Sadly, West Ham got embarrassed by Aston Villa this past Saturday. Maybe better luck against Bolton next weekend. Here's to another season of avoiding relegation.

That kid has it made. All he has to do is keep scoring goals and smiling and he will fast become THE football poster boy. I'm inclined to hate him bc he's mexican, but I just can't.

Way to go and **** us like that, Reina. Seriously.

An opening day win over Arsenal would have been an amazing start to the season. Instead we take a home draw against one of the big four.

    Goodbye, Bubba. RIP.

I didn't see Drogba's first goal, but the 2nd goal came from a botched wall and his third goal practically fell into his lap.

Haha, yea lucky for the Spurs they came back and got 2, and YB missed a couple golden opportunities in the 2nd half. Really they should have put up 4 or 5, but as it is now they have to go to White Hart Lane only up by 1 goal.

    Pavlyuchenko's goal was niiiiice

And Hochstrasser's goal for YB was very similar to Ngog's goal for Liverpool this weekend (I had just watched that game on replay yesterday).

When I saw this thread made that is the first thing I thought. Hell, I would travel into the city to join a league. If we could get enough people it would definatly be worth it.

Sadly, West Ham lost again, Bolton beat them 3-1. But hey, at least they scored a goal this time. I'd like to thank Carlton Cole for missing a penalty, and Matthew Upson for scoring an own goal, contributing to this disaster.

So, 0-2 now with games coming up against Chelsea and Man U. This is looking like a poor start to the season.

*Oh, I should mention...there's a lacrosse thread on the 1st page of the tailgate right now. Maybe some of you should go in their and give rdsknbill crap about it since he likes to fire off his mouth in here.

Did you all catch that scoreline from Newcastle and Aston Villa? 6-0 Newcastle and they just came back up from being relegated. And it's not like they were scoring on some chump—AV's goalie was Brad Friedel, still the best American keeper.
