My high school tourney my sophomore year we played the championship game in the teens with heavy snow. It was literally the most fun I have ever had playing soccer. Of course, winning the conference championship might have had a bit to do with it.

they should have played it at 5pm today or yesterday.
And why does a pro team not have a couple riding mowers with the brush attachment on it for this very scenario. A couple grand in money in NY for late Oct and Nov seems to be a no brainier.

And a DC team gets screwed in the playoffs again. Give up home field advantage, bus up 700 supporters day of game, and game gets postponed 30 minutes after original kick. **** you MLS.

I don't ****ing care anymore man. I really hope DC comes out tomorrow and crushes. Tonight was the night though. 700+ DC supporters at an away game. It had epic written all over it. What ****ing ever man.
Everyone here knows I'm a huge proponent of the MLS but last night was a ****ing joke and embarrassment.
700+ DC United fans travel to New Jersey for the 2nd leg of home and away for which we earned home field advantage, only to be told 40 minutes after the game was supposed to start that the game was postponed.
1. How do you build a $250 million stadium and not purchase at least one snow removal machine?
2. You've known about this storm for at least a week, how did the team or the league not come up with a better contingency plan than 10 guys running across the field with shovels?
3. Could Major League Soccer's love affair with NY be any more disgusting?
Love these guys:

I copied this from Big Soccer but its pretty much how I feel:
More shovels/people/snow moving equipment. Why were the lanes not painted some kind of bright-*** orange/purple/yellow or some color that can easily be seen through snowy conditions. The Weather Channel was predicting this storm to hit NY/NJ last weekend and none of this was done. This should have been an epic, instant classic of a snow bowl game, but instead bus loads of visiting fans are being sent home due to piss poor planning and execution and won't be returning for the game tomorrow. Way to blow it MLS
Anyone in the DC are who wants to go to the game, MLS is footing the bill for the bus ride and ticket:

Maybe since Ben said, "let's go" and the other coach chickened out, this will give us incentive to beat their asses tonight.
