Weak, two years ago he wasn't playing good golf and there were serous questions about his career long term. Sure.... But based on the year he put together LAST YEAR... He's answered a lot of those questions...
Last year he finished in the money in almost every tournament he entered. That's nowhere near washed up.... Yeah after the scandal he basically golfed as a hobby... He no longer entered 20 events a year... rather he golfed about half as many as he normally had. Last year was his first complete year back... And he rocked it..... It wasn't a career year for him or anything... but if you are nearly any other golfer other than Tiger, it would have been a career year.
The guy is not washed up, The guy is hungry, and was playing pretty good. Playing at the level he played at last year he could expect to win a few more majors over his career and can expect to set the all time career major win mark. Anybody who thinks he's washed up hasn't read a newspaper lately. ( 1 year + )..

Rory was the best golfer in the world last year, Tiger was #2.

I don't know where he's ranked, but it's gonna take more than winning non major tournaments to declare he's back. If he goes majorless again, do you think Tiger would consider it a successful year?
need a new sig
I don't know if he will ever get back to be the kind of player he once was. Winning 3 of the four majors in 2000... But seriously he's only done that once anyway even before the scandal. He's only won two majors in any given year 4 times in 16 years including 2000.. So I don't know if that's a reasonable metric anyway...
But as far as if he's "WASHED UP", the answer is no... Based on Last years performance he's still one of the best golfers in the world and he really wasn't off that pace for very long.
Tiger is the only PGA player ever to win 8 tournaments in three different years... His best year was 2000 where he won 9 tournaments.. or about half of the tournaments he entered...
In 2012 tiger won 3.... so not really the same, but was still good enough to have him finish #2 for PGA earners. #1 Rory McIlroy only won 4 tournaments himself, 1 major.
I think the real difference between 2000 Tiger Woods and 2012 Tiger Woods isn't weather he was a great golfer, one of the best golfers on the PGA.... I think the 2000 Tiger was really one of the best golfers in the history of golf without any real peers in the PGA... It wasn't just that he won tournaments, it was that he was consistently great. 2012 Tiger would win a tournament one week, mostly finish in the top 5, but occasionally finish down around #40.... at a masters... which was unheard of Tiger doing early in his career. Maybe it was a fluke, or maybe this human inconsistancy which we expect from all PGA players is what we must expect from Tiger fro here on out too.

Tiger was linked steroids in some of the cases a few year back... Anthony Galea was a canadian doctor prosecuted for injecting Star Athletes with steroids and his clients included A-Rod and Tiger.
I haven't seen any of these rumors spread in two years...

Tiger is ranked #1 in the USA in 2013, right now... #2 in the world .

He's the best player in golf right now and the favorite at Augusta.
If he can hit the fairway with his driver under pressure, he's a shoe in to win a major this year.
You got proof of that? And what major are you even talking about. I think you're confused.

You DO realize that everyone had delays, right? So I'm not sure what the point of your post is.

You're wasting your time, man. Most everyone in this thread are bandwagon Tiger fans. They were never fans of golf until he came onto the scene and started winning everything. Probably had never even picked up a club in their lives. And then, when he hit his rough stretch, they were nowhere to be found. This thread got absolutely ZERO play when Tiger was sucking it up. Funny how that works.
I have absolutely no use for most Tiger fans out there. They usually don't understand anything about golf. And I can't stand people that start rooting for a team, golfer, etc for no other reason than they win. It's sickening. Most Yankee fans fall under the same scope.
Well, he'd be considered washed up per Tiger's standards, but still may be a good golfer when compared to the rest of the field. I have to say, winning at Torry Pines is not a good baromator of where he is. He's owned that course in the past, it's a non major and not exactly a ton of competition to guage where he's at. I think you'll get a better idea of where he is by the time Augusta rolls around.
Redskins 2013 Opponents:
Home- Dallas, NY Giants, Philadelphia, Detroit, Chicago, San Francisco, Kansas City, San Diego
Away- Dallas, NY Giants, Philadelphia, Green Bay, Minnesota, Atlanta, Denver, Oakland
As someone who's logged more rounds before 18 (I actually lived off of the 16th hole of a golf course, thank you thank you) than most of you have probably played in your life, shut the **** up with the TW hate.
Please.
It is possible to like TW the golfer and not be a newbie to golf.
It is possible to like TW the golfer and hate TW the person.
Just get over the hate and go back to worshiping Lefty's man tits.

I know everyone had delays. The point I'm making is that he had a good 2nd round score, and no one really could not catch up. Not even Lefty. That's the point I'm making. He was still on fire even the field was delayed almost all weekend.
And Bubbs, there are a lot of bandwagon Tiger fans out there, but can you blame them. The dude was a phenom at Stanford when he won the amateur title 3-4 times in a row, with the last being in 1996 once he declared he was going pro. I was never into golf until I heard about Tiger in high school, and I started to watch golf more. Then in my senior year, I decided to try the sport out, and I've been hooked ever since to go play when I can. I've been following Tiger since he declared pro. I remember when he destroyed the field at the Masters in 1997. Then when he wasn't winning tourney's, he figured that you score more in your short game than your long game. One he figured that out, he dominated as we all know. The dude is still the best golfer in the world outside his marriage problems and torn ACL he suffered back in 2009. But would you agree it's good for the sport if they have one person who constantly wins and brings more fans to watch, and they actually learn and understand the sport?
