He had a bad tourney, but why does it bother you so much? Why do you care?

Everyone has a bad tourney, even Rory, but as I said, no one's criticizing him. In fact, Rory even walked off the course before the Honda Classic was completed

    Where's the outrage?

Because this thread is about Tiger. If you want to start a thread on Rory, I will post about him too.

Keeping a close eye on Tiger the last few months and I like how he has several new friends in Lindsey Vonn and Rory McIlroy

Rory and Tiger are best buds now Nike brothers

Dear Leader is the greatest ever.

I'll admit, Tiger did not play well this past Sunday? Who cares??

OTOH his win percentage so far in 2013 is very impressive, wouldn't you agree?

Yes I apologize for answering your question directly then...

Which would be a fair point if I was discussing the FedEx rankings... Which I am not. This year 2013 Tiger Woods is the #8 earner on the PGA Tour....
Last year 2012 after a disasterous 2011 year Tiger woods was the #2 earner on the entire PGA tour. Both of those rankings are based entirely on his performances in 2012 and 2013.

And, also, pointing out that he's won over a million is kind of irrelevant. If you win a tourney, you're automatically going to be among the leaders in money won after 6 events. The point is, he's played good in one event this year, and was terrible in several others. [quote]
Yes I'm sorrty if the facts kind of discredit your entire position. He's entered two PGA events and won one.which makes him 8th on the PGA earnings list..... While other top earners from last year aren't even on the earners list yet.. Like Rory..

I don't care if you bash tiger... Just try to make sense when you do it... You say wining only 1 of 3 tournaments says he's playing badly.... It's like saying Joe Dimagio was a horrable batter cause he only got a hit 4 out of every 10 at bats. IT's fundimentally wrong... Tiger is playing great. He played great last year, and he's playing great this year... He's not winning every tournament he enters, but nobody ever does.

The FedEx points rankings are current year only.

Also, Tiger is playing his best ball since the swing change and is the odds on favorite going in to Augusta. Vegas agrees (although frankly I love Kuchar at 40-1):

    TIGER WOODS 5-1
    RORY McILROY 7-1
    PHIL MICKELSON 12-1
    BRANDT SNEDEKER 15-1
    LUKE DONALD 25-1
    LEE WESTWOOD 25-1
    ADAM SCOTT 25-1
    JUSTIN ROSE 25-1
    BUBBA WATSON 25-1
    DUSTIN JOHNSON 25-1
    LOUIS OOSTHUIZEN 25-1
    CHARL SCHWARTZEL 30-1
    JASON DUFNER 30-1
    NICK WATNEY 40-1
    RICKIE FOWLER 40-1
    HUNTER MAHAN 40-1
    MATT KUCHAR 40-1

I'll still take the field. Not only that, I wouldn't be surprised if Tiger is no where near the lead.

The problem, as I point out time and time again, is if the field wins it, it's probably some no-namer who no one has ever heard of. Someone like a Kaymer, Yang, Immelman. Someone who wins once, and disappears. I think it's a huge problem in golf when there is too much parity, and the mainstays like Phil and Tiger can't hang around without collapsing.

Who cares what odds Vegas puts out for the majors? They always have Tiger with the highest odds, yet he hasn't won a single major since 2008. They are irrelevant.

Also, not sure how you can say Tiger is playing "his best ball", when he was bounced in the first round of the match play tourney two weeks ago. And then didn't even shoot a round under par this past week.

If greatness can be measured by the ridiculous expectations that come with it, Tiger Woods is the greatest golfer ever. Jack Nicklaus never dealt with half the negative repercussions Woods faces when he goes three or four starts without a victory, and though Nicklaus' 19 runner-up finishes in major championships are looked upon as a tribute to his resilience, Tiger gets hammered pretty hard when he fails to close the deal.

Even in Wood's best year 2000 he won fewer than half his 20 starts. Hell six wins in a season is a rare accomplishment.

This entire thread is ridiculous. Tiger is far from washed up he's been playing great. He just has never won every tournament he enters, never have and nobody ever has....

Nobody is expecting Tiger to win most of his tourneys, but dude have not be a consistent golfer for a while now. He seems as if he plays good in spurts now. At one time Tiger was a shoe-in to make every cut. You certainly can't say that now.

He's played in 3 events. He's won one, played extremely well in another (the match play), and was T37 at the Honda Classic. Although he was bounced in the first round of the match play, he played very well. CH3 just played slightly better. Tiger even was really happy in his post game interview about the way he played. If he plays like that in a regular tournament for a few rounds he blows the field away.

That's ridiculous... Sighting one tournaments results is not a metric to measure consistency... He was the #2 earner on the PGA last year.... which means he was very consistent last year more constant than all golfers on the PGA except 1 guy having a career year. And this year he's 1 for 2 in PGA events, ranking #8 in the world for PGA earners... Both of those
numbers are for seasons... Which speak directly to how consistent he's playing.

Yes he occasionally misses a cut, which means........................... wait for it ............ NOTHING.....

Is last year's #2 PGA earner washed up... no.
Is Last year's #2 earner having a bad year so far in 2013... no
Do experts believe tiger is back in the hunt for Jack's record... absolutely.
Tiger Woods if a front runner in every tournament he enters.. that wasn't the case a while ago; it is again today.. Which doesn't mean he's actually going to win every event....
