Question What do you think of the following new Redskins sites

The team is looking for some feedback here. The sites in question are:

    The homepage of www.redskins.com

The new but still working Extremeskins upgrade.

The sensory overload that is www.RedskinsPowerboard.com

    Gametime.redskins.com

    And the newest, www.Foursquare.com/redskinsdotcom

I like the new www.redskins.com it was due a much needed facelift.

I love Extremeskins. Doesn't matter about the upgrade. I would like the chat back though for gamedays.

Don't goto the powerboard at all.

Gametime is meh. Nothing special about it.

I haven't checked out the foursquares one yet.

All in all why do you need the last 3 when you have ExtremeSkins!!!!

I only go here or redskins.com but really only to watch the pressers...Dont post much but always check on here for latest news.

I've often been curious about the legality of sites using team names, pictures, logos, ect?

Well, Redskins.com looks awfu imo. It's very cluttered for me. The bottom of the page just looks like they jammed everything they could in there. For me, I just like to see the important stuff on the homepage.

The gametime site looks really useful. Everything is in one place, but compartmentalized so it's easy to navigate. I think I'll have to try it out on gameday.

As for this site, things are just getting better and better. I hesitate to criticize too much, because I know it's a work in progress, but there are just a few things:
    1. I think there might be something wrong with the sign in form. Sometimes I'll sign in (it might even be every time), and I won't see the breaking news available if I signed in on the stadium page.
    2. I think the old design separated each thread better visually.
    3. The rotating banner is a little strange. The board looks a little more professional with just one consistent banner
None of these are that big a deal. I haven't noticed any glaring things that just ruin the site experience. It's still a pretty good site, even though it's not done.

These are all sites owned by the team.

Any other NFL team has a site as great as ES or Redskins.com?

When I occasionally visit other teams message boards, it looks so basic and blase.

I like all four sites, especially the foursquare. Got some stuff on there that I didn't even know.

Gone, but not forgotten... RIP RP

Thats point holds some merit for me.

I use the OS a bit for pressers, but you get that much info posted on here, there is no real need for me to go elsewhere for a Redskins fix.

To answer TK's question, the OS looks fine to me, but I never get more than halfway down the page. Watch a few pressers of player interviews & thats about it.

I tend to come straight here for Redskins news. And, I like the ES upgrade.

I should maybe check the other sites out to broaden my horizons & see a bit more of the world.....

This is my go to source for Redskins news... (Also political and world happenings, along with random thoughts)

The foursquare is so DMV dependent... Hopefully it will attract other Redskins bars around the country to help it's cause...

RIP Blake Fomby... You will be missed... Love you brother. Hope they keep the roof open at Cowboys Stadium so you can still watch them from up there...

The main page (Redskins.com) looks awsome. The new colors to Extremeskins message board kills my eys, sorry. The banners are nice but the colors are hard to read. Since I'm the type that believes in not complaining with out a solution or atleast providing one I'd say keep the Burgundy color and change the Grey or Silver to Gold. NOT YELLOW. Just a small suggestion but probably a big issue to fix. sorry.

    I used to check out the 4 major boards;
    Extremeskins
    TheWarpath
    TheHogs
    HailRedskins

Out of the 4 I find myself visiting 2 most of the time Extremeskins and TheWarpath. I have trouble reading the HailRedskins site. I never go to the message board due to that. I can tolerate TheHogs site but everything seems to be in small print right from the get go.

I'll be honest I hang more at TheWarpath only because of the color scheme is easier to read for me but ExtremeSkins offers more information. So usually I tend to visit for about 5-10 min. then leave, come back and spend another 5-10 min. and leave again. Again it may only be me but the color scheme, especially trying to look at all the thread titles strains my eyes and I have to leave to give them a break. again sorry.

Redskins.com looks really good. Its very easy to find things you are looking for and the game photos are a nice touch too.

Way too much going on with the Power Board. Have never used it before and probably never will.

Never heard of the game-time one, but it looks pretty cool. Might have to check that out for the Rams game.

Haven't gotten into the Foursquare craze, so that doesn't really matter to me.

The major drawback to Redskins.com is the annoying ads that pop up while waiting between the rotating main stories. I usually only go there from direct links via Twitter and the Blog (which I love) OR to check out a presser or update to the roster/depth chart.

While I realize that the site is a vehicle for sponsors/promotion, it isn't the place I go when I want information. For that, I follow tweets from Keim, Campbell, Russelmania and Weisman. I find Reid and the the Washington Post to be far too negative and sensational for my liking.

Maybe it's me, but I strive to find a balance between hard news, wild rumors and Skins family. Thus, I'm usually bouncing back and forth among PFT, the Blog, Extremeskins and waiting for Twitter updates from the beat reporters and players.

The best thing that Redskins.com has that I can't find elsewhere are pressers, footage, esp. during training camp and roster/depth chart info.

Oh! And adding the direct link to ESPN 980 was brilliant. Knowing I can listen to the audio on my computer from anywhere in the world is comforting to say the least. I appreciate that Mr. Snyder continues to make that possible, especially the post-game interviews and talk show feedback till late into the night.

Redskins Gametime looks promising. I've used NFL.com before, while listening to audio through 980 in the past, when I was traveling. This looks like a great idea! That said, I'm usually in the Extremeskins gameday forum, but what's another open window among friends?

I like that the team is looking for innovative ways to improve the fan experience. Thanks to all responsible for putting in the hard work.

EDIT: I don't get the foursquare thing. Is that an upstart rival to facebook??? Seems like a FedEx thing to me, or maybe I missed something in my first visit.

Im not really digging the new extremeskins, mainly due to the colors and a few downgrades.

Some of the gray fonts are impossible to see and blend in with the background. The entire use of the color scheme (gray/white/burgundy/gold) just seems disjointed. The quick reply box for example Im in now is just a big white blob on the screen. Also it seems the pulldown-to-switch-forums is gone as well, so we have to go back to the forum homepage to go to the tailgate from the stadium for example. Overall Im all for change & updates, and although I feel we took a step backwards with this one, it seems a few design/color/font tweaks would make a big difference.
