The contrast in the IQ between a good center like Noah and an average center like McGee is just remarkable.

I just don't get why he's still so clueless on the court. He comes from a basketball family! He's been around this sport his entire life. Why does he play like a ****ing idiot?

As for the game, this was expected. Chicago has the best defense in the league and I wouldn't be surprised if they represent the East in the finals.

Tom Thibs is a great coach. Wish Eddie Jordan hadn't ran him out of the ****ing organization.

Just looking at the score, it seems like all the fight went out of the team again. For two games they were competing. Is Blatche really that much of a drain on the team's psyche?

Other than Wall is there a starter on this team you'd keep?

    Blache, obviously not
McGee, has back up center written all over him.
Nick Young, horribly inconsistent would be better as a scoring threat off the bench.
    Josh Howard, maybe.

I still like McGee, but it's a bit troubling that in three years he's barely improved at all. I'd hang on to him because I don't think we'd get decent value for him, and he might still pan out. I think he can be a really good energy big man off the bench, but he probably won't ever be a starting C on a title contender.

I'd dump Blatche for whatever we can get. It's no coincidence that without Blatche we play two contenders really tough, but when he comes back we get blown out by almost 30.

Young is a keeper, but you're right on a good team he's probably a 6th man. Still for now he's our best offensive threat.

Nobody else really stands out. Howard will probably be back because he'll come cheap and gives us an experienced vet. Shard's contract makes him virtually untradable.

I went to the game tonight. Watched Rose dominate the Wizards. Wall isn't even on the same plane as Rose.

Wizards have a long way to go. Did find out that they are changing their colors next year but not their name.

This line of thinking is so dumb. We got demolished by a far better team, it didn't matter who was on the floor. This team has looked good with Blatche out of the lineup and with Blatche in the lineup. It's also looked good with Wall out of the lineup and looked good when he was injured. This team is young and inconsistent and to say that it had anything to do with Blatche is really disingenuous. Maybe it helps people rationalize how bad this team is, but it has nothing to do with anything. Really the only player that I can say with 100% certainty this team has looked really bad when they weren't in the lineup is Nick Young this season. Other than him it doesn't really matter who plays, some games will go well, other games will be awful.

The only 2 players worth keeping in the starting lineup right now are Wall and Young. That's it. I think with a real center Blatche could play well, but when you have McGee getting completely out of position on every defensive series it makes life difficult. It's only a matter of time till Seraphin starts.

I'd love to see a lineup of:
    Wall
    Young
    Booker
    Blatche
    Seraphin

We'd be making a huge mistake bringing back Howard as well. He has absolutely no legs left. Look at how terrible his elevation is on his jumper now. He almost can't get it to the basket from 15+ feet out. He was getting absolutely shredded by Deng as well, leading to him hardly playing in the second half at all. He's done.

THis lineup would have gotten us ZERO tonight.

Wall is our only building block.

How do you figure that? I thought Seraphin outplayed McGee badly in the minutes he played, too bad he got called for a bunch of touch fouls. Booker played fine as well, though he's still quite offensively challenged. Blatche played a perfectly fine game, and I think he could really benefit from a positionally sound center in Seraphin.

In all likelihood no lineup we could have put out there would have had us compete for 48 minutes with the Bulls, which was basically my point.

I was at the game, no Wizards players deserved to be on the floor. They all sucked.

McGee hardly a scorer, and Seraphin was barely a presence. Are you kidding me?????

A good article about Seraphin's development:

I really like Seraphin. It's funny how he's been playing basketball for only a few years and he already shows more mental toughness and a better IQ than McGee who grew up in a basketball family.

Hopefully we see a lot more from Booker and Seraphin for the rest of the year.

About right. I think McGee and Young, on the right team, could be starters. They both have talent. Not the Wizards right now. They would need a veteran heavy team. A shut the **** up and do your work, sort of team. I think though, both will end up like you said. A back-up and a 6th man.

I'm not going to pretend that anybody besides Wall is a great prospect. But I do know that the smart move is to play those guys as much as possible for the rest of the season. If that means you're using a lot of Crawford and Booker. Then good.

I think McGee has the raw ability, but his head isn't into it. Maybe that's on him, or the coaching, or both. I think priority number #1 will be getting coaches who specialize in developing young talent.

The lineup that needs to be playing is...

    Wall
    NY
    Howard
    Booker
    Seraphin

I think that lineup gives us the most energy and passion off the bench and best plays to Wall's strengths. Sometimes, esp with Booker and Seraphin, dmb **** will happen, but at least they'll care and grow from it.

As far as McGee, I think his problem is that he did come from a bball family. He doesnt play within himself. His mom has pumped his head with so much bull**** he thinks he can block every shot and bring the ball up court and dunk from the free throw line in game. Whatever other dumb **** he does.

And I just can't take serious anyone who thinks Blatche is playing well. He's the laziest **** that ever lived. He's a PF that plays around the 3 point line. He doesn't get back on D and protect the rim. He doesn't fight for rebounds. He's forever slow on switching off and playing help D. He is the bane of my existence.

Oh and Wall will be better than Rose. I just got a feeling.

I'm finally on board....I'm done with Blatche...how irritating...the guy has tons of talent and has a PF frame, but he plays like ***** idiot and I've had it.

I like your lineup above, although i wouldn't mind moving Nick to the 3 and putting Crawford at the 2...just for ****s and giggles...see what happens.
